Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh pesatnya pembangunan di bidang perumahan yang terjadi di wilayah pedesaan yang menimbulkan berbagai dampak bagi kehidupan masyarakat desa, khususnya pada kehidupan sosial ekonomi masyarakat desa sebagai masyarakat asli wilayah pembangunan. Rumusan masalah dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana respon masyarakat setempat mengenai pembangunan perumahan yang terjadi di sekitar wilayah desa, dan mengetahui dampak pembangunan perumahan terhadap kehidupan sosial ekonomi masyarakat setempat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) mengetahui respon masyarakat setempat terhadap pembangunan perumahan (2) menggali dan mengkaji dampak pembangunan perumahan terhadap kehidupan sosial ekonomi masyarakat setempat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang menggunakan pendekatan penelitian campuran yang menggabungkan antara pendekatan kualitatif dan pendekatan kuantitatif yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Penelitian ini menggunakan strategi triangulasi konkuren yang melibatkan pengumpulan dan analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif secara bersamaan. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari observasi, wawancara, angket, studi dokumentasi, dan studi literatur. Temuan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa pembangunan perumahan di sekitar wilayah desa mendapatkan respon yang positif dikarenakan dapat menyerap tenaga kerja bagi masyarakat setempat sehingga meningkatkan taraf hidupnya. Di sisi lain, masyarakat setempat mulai kehilangan jati dirinya sebagai masyarakat desa dikarenakan adanya proses imitasi gaya hidup dari warga perumahan yang merupakan masyarakat kota. Kata kunci: Pembangunan, Perubahan sosial ekonomi, Masyarakat This research is motivated by the rapid development in the field of residential that occur in rural areas that cause various impacts to the life of rural community, particularly in social economic life of rural community as indigenous community of the development area. Formulation of the problem of this research is how the response of local community regarding the residential development going on around the village, and how the impact of residential development on the social economic life of local community. The purposes of this research are (1) to get to know the response of local community to the residential development (2) to explore and assess the impact of residential development on the social economic life of local community. This research uses mixed method approach that combines qualitative and quantitative approach that is analyzed descriptively. This research uses a concurrent triangulation strategy which involves the collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data simultaneously. Data in this research are obtained from observation, interview, questionnaire, documentary study, and literature study. The result of this research is that the residential development in the area around the village get a positive response because it can absorb the labor for the local community thus improving their standard of living. On the other hand, local community begins to lose their identity as a village community due to the process of imitation of the urban lifestyle that comes from the residential residents.
