Abstract

Dalam pembangkit termal, biaya bahan bakar merupakan hal termahal dalam biaya operasi. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan penjadwalan dan pembagian beban pada pembangkit untuk memenuhi permintaan beban dengan biaya operasi yang minimum, dengan tetap memenuhi batas persamaan dan pertidaksamaan. Dalam skripsi ini memaparkan solusi dari permasalahan economic dispatch dengan memperhitungkan rugi-rugi transmisi menggunakan algoritma pattern search. Rugi-rugi transmisi disajikan secara eksplisit dalam persamaan, sehingga total konsumsi energi yang terdiri dari biaya operasi generator dan rugi-rugi transmisi, dapat dipertimbangkan secara baik. Koefisien B digunakan untuk mengevaluasi rugi-rugi transmisi dalam sistem. Efektifitas dari algoritma telah dicoba pada sistem pembangkit termal 500 kV Jawa-Bali. Hasil dari metode ini dibandingkan dengan kondisi riil dari sistem. Berdasarkan hasil optimasi, didapat bahwa metode pattern search lebih ekonomis dibandingkan kondisi riil sistem. Kata kunci : biaya bahan bakar, economic dispatch, rugi-rugi transmisi, koefisien B, pattern search, pembangkit termal In a thermal power plant, fuel cost is the most expensive item of operating cost. Therefore, it is need scheduling and dispatching the committed power generating outputs to meet the load demand at minimum operating cost, while satisfying all unit and system equality and inequality constraints. This paper presents a solution of the economic load dispatch problem including transmission losses using a pattern search algorithm. Transmission losses are presented explicitly in the equation so that the total energy consumption, consisting of both the generator’s operation costs and the transmission losses, can be considered. The B-coefficients are used to evaluate transmission loss in the system. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm has been tested on a thermal power plants system of 500 kV Java-Bali. A result of proposed method is compare with real condition of system. Based on the optimization results, it was found that the pattern search method is more economical than the real condition of system.
