Abstract

Penguasaan konsep adalah kemampuan yang dimiliki siswa terkait pengetahuan tentang suatu konsep dan penerapannya di berbagai persoalan. Penguasaan konsep ini sangat penting bagi siswa karena siswa akan selalu dihadapkan pada permasalahan yang membutuhkan pemecahan masalah menggunakan konsep yang telah dipelajarinya. Namun, diduga ada indikasi penguasaan konsep ini belum terlatihkan secara optimal, sebagai contoh proses pembentukan pengetahuan belum dibangun secara sistematis. Penelitian ini mencoba untuk memfasilitasi peningkatan penguasaan konsep melalui pendekatan saintifik dengan berbantuan prototype media berbasis cmap tools. Penelitian pre-experimental dengan desain one group pretest-posttest design menggunakan sampel sebanyak 35 siswa di salah satu SMP Negeri di Kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai gain ternormalisasi sebesar 0,47 dengan rincian nilai gain ternormalisasi aspek C1 sebesar 0,88, aspek C2 sebesar 0,42, aspek C3 sebesar 0,41, dan aspek C4 sebesar 0,39. Hal ini menunjukkan penerapan pendekatan saintifik dengan berbantuan prototype media berbasis cmap tools dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengingat dengan baik, namun kemampuan memahami, mengaplikasikan, dan menganalisis belum optimal. Kata Kunci : Pendekatan Saintifik, Prototype Media Berbasis Cmap Tools, Penguasaan Konsep Mastery of concepts is related with the ability of the students' knowledge of a concept and its application in a wide range of issues to address . Mastery of concept is very important for students because students will always be faced with the problems that need solving problems using concepts they have learned. However, there are indications alleged mastery of concept has not trained optimally, as an example of the process of the formation of knowledge has not been constructed systematically. This study tries to facilitate increased mastery of concepts through a scientific approach aided media prototype based cmap tools. Pre-experimental research design with one group pretest-posttest design using a sample of 35 students in one of the Junior High School in Bandung. The results show the value of normalized gain of 0.47 with the details of the value of the normalized gain of 0.88 aspect C1, C2 aspects of 0.42, aspects of 0.41 C3, and C4 aspects of 0.39. This shows the application of scientific approaches aided media prototype based cmap tools can improve the ability to remember well, but the ability to understand, apply, and analyze not optimal.
