Abstract

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya social interest dalam kehidupan individu. Tujuan penelitian yaitu menguji keefektivan teknik sosiodrama untuk mengembangkan social interest siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan metode kuasi eksperimen dan desain non-equivalent pre-test post-test control group. Penelitian dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Modern Almaarif Bukittinggi dengan jumlah partisipan sebanyak 24 orang pada kelas ekperimen dan 27 orang pada kelas kontrol. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Data mengenai social interest dikumpulkan menggunakan social interest scale yang dikembangkan oleh Crandall. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan adalah non parametric test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) 11,76% siswa memiliki social interest yang tergolong tinggi, 68,62% memiliki social interest dalam kategori sedang, dan 19,60 % lainnya memiliki social interest yang tergolong rendah, 2) sosiodrama efektif untuk mengembangkan social interest siswa, tetapi pada penelitian ini terdapat satu karakteristik yang tidak dapat dikembangkan secara sempurna yaitu kooperatif. Hasil penelitian selanjutnya direkomendasikan kepada 1) kepala sekolah sebagai pemangku kebijakan agar dapat menjadikan hasil penelitian sebagai bahan pertimbangan dalam merumuskan kebijakan terkait bimbingan dan konseling, 2) guru bimbingan dan konseling agar dapat menggunakan sosiodrama sebagai layanan untuk mengembangkan social interest siswa 3) peneliti selanjutnya untuk keperluan generalisasi data agar dapat melakukan penelitian yang serupa tetapi dengan cara yang berbeda. --------- The research is motivated by the importance of social interest in the lives of individuals. The research objective is to examine the effectiveness of the technique sociodrama to develop students' social interest. This study uses a quantitative approach with quasi experimental method and design of non-equivalent pre-test post-test control group. The study was conducted in Pondok Pesantren Modern Almaarif Bukittinggi. The number of participants as many as 24 people in the experiment class and 27 people in the control class. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data on social interest is collected using Social Interest Scale was developed by Crandall. Data analysis technique used is non parametric test. The results showed that 1) 11,76% of students have a relatively high social interest, 68,62% have a social interest in the medium category, and 19,60% were classified as having low social interest, 2)sociodramas is effective to develop students' social interest, but in this study, there is one that cannot be developed perfectly, that is cooperative. The results of further research was recommended to 1) the stakeholders in order to make the results of the research as a consideration in formulating policies related to guidance and counseling, 2) school counselor in order to use sociodrama as interventions to develop social interest, 3) for further research for the purpose of generalization of data in order to be able to do similar research but in a different way.
