Abstract

Kids Athletics merupakan model pembelajaran atletik untuk anak-anak yang diciptakan oleh IAAF (Internasional Association of Athletics Federation). Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan menganalisis pengaruh model Kids Athletics terhadap peningkatan keterampilan motorik kasar siswa Sekolah Dasar. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan True Eksperiment dengan desain Randomized Pretest-Posstest Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas 4 pada salah satu SD Negeri di Kota Padang dengan sampel penelitian terdiri dari kelas eksperimen berjumlah 22 siswa dan kelas kontrol 22 siswa. Analisis penelitian menggunakan SPSS versi 20 dengan uji t berpasangan (paired sample t tes), N Gain dan uji t independen (independen sample t tes). Hasil penelitian menunjukan pembelajaran atletik dengan model Kids Athletics dapat meningkatkan secara signifikan keterampilan motorik kasar siswa Sekolah Dasar dibandingkan dengan model Direct Instruction. Peningkatan Keterampilan motorik kasar pada kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelompok kontrol. Pada kelompok eksperimen rata rata = 31,86 (pretest) menjadi 39,09 (posttest) dan kelompok kontrol dari rata rata 29,82 (pretes) meningkat menjadi 32,36 (posstes). Pada kelompok eksperimen rata-rata peningkatan 0,43. Standar deviasi 0,15 nilai maksimum 0,65 nilai minimum 0,18.dan pada kelompok kontrol juga meningkat sebesar 0,14 standar deviasi 0,08 nilai maksimum 0,35, nilai minimum 0,00. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Kids Athletics memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan motorik kasar siswa Sekolah Dasar.---------- Kids Athletics is an athletic learning model for children that develop by IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federation). The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of Kids Athletic Model to elementary student’s gross motor skill improvement. This research is use a True experiment method with Randomized Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population of research the fourth grade students in one of public elementary school in Padang and the samples are an experiment class that consist of 22 students and the control class that consist of 22 students. Analysis of this research use SPSS 20 version with paired sample t test, N Gain and independent sample t test. The result of the research show that athletic learning by used Kids athletics Model can improve student’s motor skill significantly when compared with Direct Instruction Model. The student’s motor skill improvement in experiment class is higher than control class. The average of experiment class is 31,86 (pretest) increased to 39,09 (posttest) and the average in control class is 29,82 (pretest) increased to 32,36 (posttest). It shows the improvement differences between experiment class and control class. The experiment class has an average improvement about 0,43 standard deviation 0,15 with maximum percentage 0,65 minimum percentage 0,18 and the control class also has an average improvement 0,14 standard deviation 0,08 with maximum percentage 0,35 and minimum percentage 0,00. So, the conclusion is Kids Athletics Model has a significant influence to elementary student’s motor skill improvement.
