Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan, menguji kelayakan, memaparkan karakteristik, menguji keterpahaman, dan mendeskripsikan kandungan nilai religius pada bahan ajar IPA terpadu pada tema udara berbasis nilai religius untuk siswa SMP kelas VII melalui Four Steps Teaching Material Development (4S TMD). Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh tidak tersedianya bahan ajar IPA SMP yang disajikan secara terpadu melalui tema udara dan berbasis nilai religius. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D). Pengembangan bahan ajar IPA terpadu tema udara berbasis nilai religius terdiri dari tahap seleksi, strukturisasi, karakterisasi dan reduksi didaktik. Tahap seleksi dan strukturisasi merupakan tahap memilih dan menyusun konsep secara terpadu. Selanjutnya pada tahap karakterisasi, dilakukan karakterisasi konsep-konsep yang dilakukan pada 99 siswa kelas VII. Data dari hasil tahap karakterisasi menjadi dasar untuk melakukan reduksi didaktik terhadap konsep-konsep yang sulit dipahami oleh siswa. Tahap reduksi didaktik adalah tahap pengurangan tingkat kesulitan bahan ajar. Berdasarkan uji kelayakan, bahan ajar telah memenuhi aspek kelayakan isi, kelayakan penyajian, kelayakan bahasa dan kelayakan kegrafikan. Karakteristik bahan ajar meliputi format penyajian bahan ajar, kedekatan tema bahan ajar dengan siswa, kandungan nilai religius setiap Bab, kesesuaian bahan ajar dengan standar BSNP, dan kesesuaian bahan ajar dengan hakikat IPA. Berdasarkan uji keterpahaman, bahan ajar telah memenuhi aspek keterpahaman dengan kategori tinggi. Nilai religius pada bahan ajar IPA terpadu tema udara dikembangkan dengan mengaitkan konteks-konteks IPA dengan kebesaran Tuhan Yang Maha Esa. Hasil penelitian ini adalah bahan ajar IPA terpadu berupa buku dengan tema udara yang telah melewati empat tahap pengembangan. Bahan ajar ini dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar pendamping pembelajaran IPA.---------- The purposes of this study are to develop, to test feasibility, to describe the characteristic, to test understanding, to describe religious value of an integrated science teaching material on theme of air and based on religious value for Junior High School through Four Steps Teaching Material Development (4S TMD). This study is motivated by the unavailability of teaching materials science presented in an integrated junior high school through the air theme and based on religious value. This study uses a Research and Development method. Development of Integrated Science teaching materials on the theme of air and based on religious value is consist of selection, structuring, characterization and reduction didactic steps. Selection and structuring steps are the step of selecting and preparing an integrated concept. Then, the characterization step does characterization of concepts by 99 students of grade VII. The data result of characterization step becomes the basis of didactic reduction of the concepts that are difficult to understand by students. Didactic Reduction step is the step to reduce the level of difficulty of teaching materials. Based on test of feasibility, this teaching material is qualify of content, presentation, language, and graphic feasibility aspects. The characteristic of this teaching material includes the form of presentation, the theme closenes with student, the religious value content, its compatibility with BSNP sandard, and science essence. Based on understanding test, it is qualify of understanding aspect with high category. Religious value of it is developed by relate the science contexts with the greatness of God. Result of this study is a book of integrated science teaching materials on the theme of air and which has gone through four steps of development. This teaching material can be used as supplement teaching material of science learning.
