Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengaruh latihan Barbell Lunges dan Dumbell One-Arm Shoulders Press terhadap hasil tolak peluru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen. Populasi dan sampel penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa PKO angkatan 2011, jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 120 orang. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu 20 orang, dengan rincian 10 mahasiswa melakukan latihan barbell lunges dan 10 mahasiswa melakukan latihan dumbell one-arm shoulders press. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes tolak peluru. Berdasarkan pengolahan dan analisis data maka kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: 1) Latihan Barbell Lunges memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil tolak peluru; 2) Latihan Dumbell One-Arm Shoulders Press memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil tolak peluru; 3) Terdapat perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan antara Latihan Barbell Lunges dan latihan Dumbell One-Arm Shoulders Press terhadap hasil tolak peluru. Dalam hal ini latihan Dumbell One-Arm Shoulders Press memberikan pengaruh yang lebih baik terhadap peningkatan tolak peluru. The effect of the Barbell Lunges and Dumbell One-Arm Shoulder concerning the result of shot put is the matter of this research. The chosen method used for the research is an experiment method. The students college of PKO of 2011 are the population and sample of research, the amount of population in this research is 120 persons. Sample in this research is 20 persons, with the details of 10 persons do the barbell lunges and the other 10 do the dumbell one-arm shoulders press training. The instrument used in this research is a shot put test. According to the process and analysis of data, the result of the research can be concluded as follows: 1) The Barbell Lunges training significantly affects to the result of shot put; 2) The Dumbell One-Arm Shoulders Press training significantly affects to the result of shot put; 3) There is a significant different effect between Barbell Lunges dan Dumbell One-Arm Shoulders Press to the result of shot put. In this case Dumbell One-Arm Shoulders Press gives better effect to the improvement of shot put.
