Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara kualitas pribadi dengan kinerja profesional guru bimbingan dan konseling serta faktor biografisnya. Desain korelasional dipilih untuk membuktikan hubungan di antara variabel tersebut dan Anova satu jalur digunakan untuk menganalisis perbedaan pada setiap variabel. Sebanyak 132 guru bimbingan dan konseling di Kota Bima menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kualitas pribadi guru bimbingan dan konseling berada pada kategori baik, (2) kinerja profesional guru bimbingan dan konseling berada pada kategori tinggi, (3) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kualitas pribadi guru bimbingan dan konseling dengan kinerja profesionalnya, dan (4) kualitas pribadi dan kinerja profesional guru bimbingan dan konseling tidak ada hubungannya dengan faktor biografis. Hasil penelitian ini direkomendasikan kepada (1) Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling, (2) Dinas Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan, (3) Guru bimbingan dan konseling dan (4) Penelitian selanjutnya.----------The research is aimed to discover the relation between personal quality and professional performance of guidance and counseling teachers and their biographical factors. Correlation design was chosen to prove the relation of each variables and one way Anova used to analyze the differences of each variables. 132 guidance and counseling teachers from Bima has been taken as the sample. The research results showed that (1) The personal quality of guidance and counseling teachers are in good category, (2) The professional performance of guidance and counseling teachers are at high category, (3) There is a significant relation between the personal quality of guidance counseling teachers and their professional performance, (4) There are no relation between personal quality and professional performance to biographical factors. The results are recommended to: (1) Guidance and counseling department, (2) The Ministry of Education and Culture, (3) Guidance and counseling teachers, (4) Further research
