Abstract

Dalam upaya mereduksi tingkat stres akademik peserta didik, maka penting untuk memberikan dukungan sosial serta meningkatkan adversity quotient peserta didik. Kemampuan peserta didik dalam menerima dan merasakan dukungan dari lingkungan sekitar dapat memberikan penguatan secara psikologis dan adversity quotient dapat meningkatkan kemampuan dalam memandang setiap kesulitan menjadi sesuatu yang perlu dihadapi dan menjadi tantangan bagi dirinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara dukungan sosial dan adversity quotient dengan tingkat stres akademik peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 12 Bandung. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, teknik penelitian menggunakan teknik korelasional. Dari populasi sebanyak 334 peserta didik, diambil sampel 180 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner. Hasil penelitian: (1) dukungan sosial peserta didik berada pada kategori sedang; (2) adversity quotient peserta didik berada pada kategori camper; (3) tingkat stres akademik peserta didik berada pada kategori sedang; (4) dukungan sosial memiliki hubungan dengan tingkat stres akademik peserta didik; (5) adversity quotient memiliki hubungan dengan tingkat stres akademik peserta didik; dan (6) dukungan sosial memiliki hubungan dengan adversity quotient peserta didik. Rekomendasi penelitian ditunjukkan kepada guru BK dan peneliti selanjutnya. ---------- In an effort of reducting academic stress degree of students, so important to give social support and the increase adversity quotient of students. The ability of students to receiving and feeling support of environment can give psycology reinforcement and adversity quotient can increase ability in view each trouble to something have clear and to become challange to students. In this regard, this study aims to provide an overview of the characteristics and their relation between social support and adversity quotient with academic stress degree of students of VIII SMP Negeri 12 Bandung. The research approach using a quantitative approach, using correlation research technique. From the population of 334 students, 180 students is for sampled. The technique of collecting data through questionnaires media equipped with observation. The results: (1) social support of students including medium category; (2) adversity quotient of students including camper category; (3) academic stress degree of students including medium category; (4) social support have correlation with academic stress degree of students; (5) adversity quotient have correlation with academic stress degree of students; and (6) social support have correlation with adversity quotient of students. Research recommendations presented to teachers BK and further research.
