Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini yaitu tidak optimalnya disiplin kerja. Hal tersebut ditandai dengan data yang menunjukan peningkatan keterlambatan pegawai untuk masuk kerja, menurunnya ketepatan pegawai untuk masuk kerja dan meningkatnya kemangkiran kerja pegawai. Fenomena ini harus segera dibenahi karena pegawai merupakan ujung tombak perusahaan dalam mencapai keberhasilan dan kepemimpinan merupakan cara untuk meningkatkan disiplin kerja pegawai. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh kepemimpinan terhadap disiplin kerja pegawai serta mengetahui gambaran kepemimpinan dan disiplin kerja pegawai. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dan verifikatif, dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 120 orang dan sampel dengan jumlah 55 responden. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier sederhana dan teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah simple random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kepemimpinan dan disiplin kerja berada pada kategori rendah. Sementara itu hasil perhitungan korelasi menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang rendah antara kepemimpinan dengan disiplin kerja. Pengaruh kepemimpinan terhadap disiplin kerja yaitu sebesar 13,7% sedangkan sisanya 86,3% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain yang tidak diteliti. Kata Kunci : Kepemimpinan, Disiplin Kerja Pegawai The problem in this research was that work discipline was not optimal. It was characterized by data which showed an increasing in the delay of employees to come to work, decreasing the precision of employees to come to work and increasing employee absenteeism. This phenomenon should be addressed because the employee is spearheading the company in achieving success and leadership is a way to improve employee work discipline. The purposes of this study were to determine how much leadership influences work discipline of employee and to know the description of leadership and work discipline of employee. The methods used were descriptive and verification, with a total population of 120 people and a sample of the number of 55 respondents. The sampling techniques in this research were simple random sampling and data analysis technique using Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient and simple analysis. The results showed that leadership and discipline was on low category. While the correlation calculation results showed that there was a low relationship between the leadership and work discipline. The influence of leadership on work discipline of employee that was equal to 13,7% while the remaining 86,3% was influenced by another not-examined-factors. Keywords : Leadership, Work Discipline
