Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pada SD Negeri di Kecamatan Sukasari bahwa kinerja mengajar guru dalam mengajar masih belum optimal, disiplin kerja guru masih rendah, budaya kerja belum tercipta dengan baik, komitmen pencapaian kinerja mengajar guru dalam mengajar masih rendah. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan serta menganalisis kinerja mengajar guru, manajerial kepala sekolah, disiplin kerja guru, pengaruh kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah dan disiplin kerja guru terhadap kinerja mengajar guru di SD Kecamatan Sukasari Kabupaten Sumedang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah ex post facto (non eksperimen) dengan tujuan untuk menggali fakta-fakta yang telah terjadi dan pernah dilakukan oleh subjek penelitian (responden) melalui angket. Populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah semua guru SD Negeri di Kecamatan Sukasari Kabupaten Sumedang yang berjumlah 82 orang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh karena jumlah populasi kurang dari 100 orang. Instrumen pengumpulan data adalah angket tertutup. Analisis data untuk menguji hipotesis menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana, analisis regresi linier berganda, dan analisis adjusted R2. Hasil penelitian diketahui ada pengaruh positif yang signifikan dengan kategori sangat tinggi dalam kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja mengajar, disiplin kerja guru terhadap kinerja mengajar dan ada pengaruh positif yang signifikan secara bersama-sama kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah dan disiplin kerja guru terhadap kinerja mengajar guru SD Negeri di Kecamatan Sukasari Kabupaten Sumedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka direkomendasikan bahwa untuk meningkatkan kinerja mengajar guru perlu menyusun rencana aksi sekolah (action plan school) tentang pembinaan dan pengembangan profesi guru dengan memperhatikan faktor kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah dan disiplin kerja guru, karena kedua faktor tersebut berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja mengajar guru. ---------- Preliminary research at several state primary schools at Sukasari District reveals such findings as teachers’ performance was not optimal, teachers’ work discipline was low, working culture was not well implemented, and teachers’ commitment to achieve maximum performance in teaching was low. This study is aimed at describing and analyzing teachers’ teaching performance, the principals’ managerial skill, teachers’ work discipline, the influence of principals’ managerial skill and teachers’ work discipline to teachers’ teaching performance at state primary schools at Sukasari District in Sumedang. This study employs ex post facto design (non-experiment) to dig up facts from the respondents through questionnaire. The population and sample of this study are all teachers of state primary schools at Sukasari District in Sumedang. The number of the teachers are eighty two (82) persons. This study applies saturated sampling technique because the number of population is below a hundred (100) persons. Data collection instrument is closed questionnaire. The data is analyzed to test the hypothesis using simple linear regression analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, and R2 adjusted analysis. The result of the study showed that there was positive significant influence with high category in principals’ managerial skill to teaching performance, teachers’ work discipline to teaching performance and there was positive significant influence of principals’ managerial skill and teachers’ work discipline to teachers’ teaching performance of state primary schools at Sukasari District in Sumedang. Based on the research findings above, it is recommended to make school action plan concerning teachers professional development to increase teaching performance by considering principals’ managerial skill factor and teachers’ work discipline factor since both of the factors influence significantly to teacher’s teaching performance.
