Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran intertekstual dengan POGIL (Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning) pada materi asam basa untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena kurangnya keterlibatan tiga level representasi kimia ke dalam kegiatan pembelajaran sehingga menimbulkan miskonsepsi pada siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode deskriptif. Objek penelitiannya adalah materi asam basa, khususnya pada konsep asam basa Arrhenius dan Brønsted-Lowry. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tabel kesesuaian indikator penguasaan konsep dengan kompetensi dasar pengetahuan dan konsep, indikator keterampilan proses sains dengan kompetensi dasar keterampilan dan penjelasan keterampilan proses sains, kegiatan pembelajaran dengan langkah pembelajaran POGIL dan aspek penguasaan konsep serta keterampilan proses sains yang divalidasi oleh dosen dan guru kimia. Hasil pengembangan strategi pembelajaran intertekstual dengan POGIL untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan proses sains pada materi asam basa, diperoleh indikator penguasaan konsep (menyebutkan pengertian asam basa menurut teori Arrhenius dan Brønsted-Lowry; menentukan sifat asam dan basa suatu senyawa menurut teori Arrhenius dan Brønsted-Lowry, menganalisis sifat senyawa asam dan basa menurut teori Arrhenius, menentukan pasangan asam basa konjugasi dari suatu reaksi asam basa), indikator keterampilan proses sains (mengamati, membuat kesimpulan, membuat hipotesis, merancang percobaan, menentukan variabel, memprediksikan, melakukan percobaan, merekam data, mengklasifikasikan, menggeneralisasi, menafsirkan, membuat model, menggunakan angka, dan mengkomunikasikan), serta rancangan kegiatan pembelajaran yang melibatkan keterkaitan tiga level representasi kimia (makroskopik, submikroskopik, dan simbolik) ke dalam langkah pembelajaran POGIL. Hasil pengembangan strategi pembelajaran intertekstual dengan POGIL pada materi asam basa dinyatakan valid oleh semua validator dengan beberapa perbaikan berdasarkan masukan dari validator. ---------- This qualitative study aims to develop the intertextual learning strategy with POGIL to enhance the student's mastery and science process skills on acid-base concept. In particular, the object of study was the theory of acid-base Arrhenius and Brønsted-Lowry. The instruments used in the study were congruence tables involving the relationship of indicators of mastery concept with the basic knowledge competency, concepts with the indicators of mastery concept, indicators of science process skills with basic competency skills, and description of science process skills with indicators of science process skills, learning activities with the learning step on POGIL strategies, and the aspects of mastery concept and science process skills with the learning activities. Those instruments were validated by qualified experts (chemistry lecturers and teachers).The results of the development intertextual learning strategy with POGIL on acid base concept were the indicators of mastery concept (consist of mentioning the definition of acid-base based on Arrhenius and Brønsted-Lowry theory; defining the particles as acid or base based on Arrhenius and Brønsted-Lowry theory; analysing the characteristics of acid and base substances on Arrhenius theory; and defining the acid-base pair conjugation from acid-base reaction), the indikators of science process skills (consist of observing, inferring, formulating hypothesis, designing investigations, defining variables, predicting, experimenting, recording data, classifying, generalizing, interpreting data, formulating models, using numbers, and communicating), and also the learning activities that is designed through relating the three representative levels of chemistry to the step on POGIL strategies. The results were considered valid by all validators with some improvements based on the validator’s suggestions and expertise.
