Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya pemahaman konsep dan sikap kepedulian lingkungan siswa akibat penyampaian materi yang kurang maksimal dari guru dan minimnya media pembelajaran. Hal ini nampak dari hasil test siswayang rendah. Penerapan media interaktif merupakan salah satu solusi mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penerapan media interaktif tipe tutorial dalam pemahaman konsep dan sikap kepedulian lingkungan siswa, dan mengetahui respon siswa dan guru terhadap penerapan media interaktif tipe tutorial dalam pemahaman konsep dan sikap kepedulian lingkungan, sertamengetahui apa kendala dari penerapan media interaktif tipe tutorial terhadap pemahaman konsep dan sikap kepedulian lingkungan siswa.Pendekatan penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen. Subjeknya adalah siswa kelas VII-D dan VII-G SMP Negeri 1 Cijeungjing Kabupaten Ciamis.Rancangan desain yang digunakan adalah non-equivalent control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen berupa test. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Uji Statistik menggunakan SPSS. Hasil yang diperoleh, menunjukkan bahwa penerapan media interaktif tipe tutorial dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan sikap kepedulian lingkungan secara signifikan. Interpretasi skor aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media interaktif tipe tutorial menunjukanbahwa guru berhasil dalam hal perencanaan hingga pelaksaanaan kegiatan pembelajaran sertamenunjukan bahwa siswa aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Respon guru dan siswa dalam evaluasi media menunjukan bahwa tampilan dan rancangan perangkat media interaktif tipe tutorial dianggap baik dan bermanfaat. Kendala yang terjadi adalah lemahnya guru dalam pemberian penguatan tugas pada siswa. ---------- The bacground to this research is the lack of concept understanding and environmental awarenessdue tothe less of teachers delivery materialandless ofinstructional media. It canbe seenfromthe lowstudenttest results.One alternativesolution tosolve this problemsis interactive media tutorial.The research aims to: find the extent to which the implementation of interactive media tutorial on students’ influences concept understanding and environmental awareness; andfind students’ and teachers’ responses to the implementation of interactive media tutorial on students’ concept understanding and environmental awareness; and find the obstacles to the implementation of interactive media tutorial on students’ concept understanding and environmental awareness. The research adopted quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The subjects consisted of seventh grade students of VII-D and VII-G Classes at SMP Negeri 1 Cijeungjing, Ciamis Regency.The research employed non-equivalent control group design. Data were collected using tests as the instrument and were then analyzed statistically with the aid of SPSS.The results obtainedshowed thatthe implementation of interactive media tutorial could significantimprove concept understanding of environmental awareness. Teachers’ and students’ activity score on learning process show that the teachers’ have been successful in planning and implementing their plans in teaching and learning activity, and the students’ show that they active engagement in the teaching and learning process.In terms of media evaluation, students and teachers respon agreed with the whole indicators of the questionnaires on tutorial interactive media, proving that the performance and benefits of the teaching and learning media were regarded as appropriate.The obstacles in implementing these tutorial interactive media are teachers’ reinforcement to students.
