Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penggunaan artikel ilmiah biologi untuk memunculkan kreativitas rancangan penelitian peserta Kelompok Ilmiah Remaja (KIR). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dan subyek penelitian peserta Kelompok Ilmiah Remaja (KIR) SMA Negeri 3 Yogyakarta sebanyak 24 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data yaitu lembar analisis kajian artikel, angket persepsi peserta KIR terhadap kesulitan mengkaji artikel, lembar penilaian presentasi, lembar penilaian kreativitas rancangan penelitian, angket respon peserta KIR dan catatan lapangan. Dalam penelitian ini cara penyampaian artikel ilmiah biologi pada peserta KIR adalah melibatkan peserta KIR mengkaji artikel ilmiah, mempresentasikan hasil kajiannya kepada seluruh peserta KIR dan memimpin diskusi Kriteria artikel yang cocok untuk peserta KIR adalah artikel ilmiah biologi yang secara sistematis dan jelas memaparkan tujuan penelitian, inti permasalahan, latar belakang permasalahan, hipotesis, fakta ilmiah, konsep esensial yang diacu peneliti, variable penelitian, gejala/parameter yang diukur, cara pengolahan data, cara mengontrol variable, dan butir-butir kesimpulan. Sumber ide rancangan penelitian sebagian besar berasal dari paduan antara artikel yang dikaji dengan masalah yang ada di lingkungan sekitar mereka. Kreativitas rancangan penelitian berdasarkan aspek kebaruan, kebergunaan dan dapat dimengerti: 86% rancangan penelitian sangat baru, 57% rancangan penelitian baik sekali kebergunaannya, dan 36% ide rancangan penelitian sangat dapat dimengerti orang lain. Sebagian besar peserta KIR tidak asing dengan artikel ilmiah dan memberi respon positif terhadap kegiatan ini.----------This study was aimed to describe about how to use of biology research articles in order to bring up the creativity research proposals made by members of the Youth Science Club. The descriptive qualitative method will be used as the research methodology. The research subjects were 24 students (4 male and 20 female) who are the members of the Youth Science Club National High School 3, Yogyakarta. The instruments used to collect data were: the difficulty-of-perception-to-review questionnaire, analysis review article sheets, presentation skill observation sheets, scoring creativity sheets, questionnaire responses and field notes. As a method for teaching scientific article the students were assigned to review the scientific article, presented it and lead the discussion. The criteria of articles which suitable for members of the Youth Science Club was a biology articles that described the purpose of the study, the core of the problem, the background of the problem, hypothesis, scientific facts, the essential concept that was refered by the researcher, variable of research, symptoms of variable/parameter that was measured, how to analysis the data, controlling variable, and the conclusions systematically and clearly. The majority idea of their research design came from the combination between the biology articles which they had reviewed and the problem in their environment. The creativity of the design research based on the novelty, usefulness, and understandable aspect is: 86% of research design was new, 57% was well worth, and 36% ideas was very understandable to others. Most participants KIR was familiar to the scientific articles and gave a positive response to these activities.
