Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan keseimbangan anak tunarungu di sekolah dan terapi anak berkebutuhan khusus Risantya. Anak terlihat kesulitan saat berjalan, posisi tubuh yang tidak bisa tegak saat berdiri dan berjalan yang terlihat terhuyung huyung. Oleh karena itu anak diberikan terapi sensori integrasi, penggunaan terapi sensori integrasi itu berpengaruh pada keseimbangan anak tunarungu. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui gambaran yang jelas mengenai terapi sensori integrasi untuk anak tunarungu yang mengalami gangguan keseimbangan, jenis ketunarunguan seperti apa saja yang bisa diberikan terpa sensori integrasi, gejala seperti apa saja yang terlihat pada anak tunarungu dengan gangguan keseimbangan, media yang dipakai dalam terapi sensori integrasi, prosedur pelaksanaan terapi sensori integrasi, hambatan penerapan terapi sensori integrasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di sekolah dan terapi anak berkebutuhan khusus Risantya, dengan 1 anak tunarungu dengan gangguan keseimbangan dan 4 terapis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakancatatan awal, pencatatan lengkap, penambahan data sepanjang waktu. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan reduction, data display, conclusion drawing. Untuk keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi data. Berdasarkan temuan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa penerapan terapi sensori integrasi ini bisa diterapkan pada anak tunarungu dengan gangguan keseimbangan.----------This research is motivated by a problem of a deaf child with balance disorders at a school and therapy for children with special needs Risantya. The child looked could not stand up straight and had dificulted when she walked much. Therefore, the child was given a sensory integration therapy; that sensory integration therapy affects the balance of the deaf child. The purpose of this study is to find out a clear view of sensory integration therapy for a deaf child, which kind of deafness sensory integration therapy can be applied on, what symptoms seen on a deaf children with balance disorders, the media used in sensory integration therapy, implementation procedures of sensory integration therapy, and barriers to the application of sensory integration therapy. This research was carried out at a school and therapy for children with special needs Risantya, with a deaf child with balance disorders and 4 therapists. The research method used is descriptive. The data was collected by initial notes, detail records, the whole time of data addition. The data collected was analysed by the reduction, the data display, drawing conclusion. The data is validated by triangulation. Based on the research findings, it is known that the application of sensory integration therapy can be applied to a deaf child with balance disorders.
