Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya minat dan keterampilan siswa dalam menulis puisi. Hal itu disebabkan metode pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru belum sepenuhnya dapat menerapkan pola-pola pembelajaran yang ideal sehingga hasilnya belum optimal untuk mencapai tujuan yang telah ditetapkan dalam Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP).
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi siswa kelas X-A SMA Negeri 1 Parongpong dengan menerapkan metode sugestopedia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian dilakukan dalam tiga siklus. Permasalahan yang diteliti adalah: bagaimana perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan peningkatan pembelajaran menulis puisi dengan menerapkan metode sugestopedia pada siswa kelas X-A SMA Negeri 1 Parongpong Kabupaten Bandung Barat tahun ajaran 2015/2016?
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode sugestopedia dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi. Hal ini ditandai dengan adanya peningkatan nilai kemampuan menulis puisi siswa dari rata-rata 61,5 kategori nilai ‘cukup’ pada studi pendahuluan menjadi 61,82 kategori nilai ‘cukup’ pada siklus I, 78,96 kategori nilai ‘baik’ pada siklus II, dan 81,93 kategori nilai ‘baik’ pada siklus III. Demikian pula dari analisis hasil observasi yang menunjukan adanya peningkatan pada kinerja guru dan siswa. Kesimpulan akhir yang dapat diperoleh adalah bahwa penerapan metode sugestopedia dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi siswa kelas X-A SMA Negeri 1 Parongpong Kabupaten Bandung Barat.
----------This research was conducted based on the fact that students lack of interest and skill in writing poetry. It is caused by the method that is previously used not fully applied, thus the objective in KTSP is not really achieved.
This research’s objective is to improve students’ skill in writing poetry, in this case, ten grade students in SMAN 1 Parongpong with sugestopedia method. The research employed an action research method. The research was conducted in three cycles. The objectives of the research are: how is the planning, the implementation, and the result of the use of sugestopedia method to improve the students skill to write poetry?
Based on the result of the research, researcher concludes that sugestopedia method is able to improve the skill to write poetry. It is because, there is improvement in average students’ score; at pretes the score was 61,5 which is ‘cukup’, in the first cycle the average score becomes 61,82 ‘cukup’, in the second cycle the average score is improved into 78,96 ‘baik’, and at the last cycle the average score was 81,93 which is ‘baik’. Similarly, analysis of observation results showed an improvement in the performance of teachers and students. The final result is the use of sugestopedia method can improve the skill to write poetry of students’ of ten grade in SMAN 1 Parongpong.
