Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan artikulasi bicara anak autis yang memiliki hambatan dalam berkomunikasi. Penelitian Action Research melibatkan seorang anak autis yang mengalami gangguan artikulasi berbicara bersama orang tua. Siklus yang berlangsung sebanyak tiga siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan artikulasi konsonan “s” di tengah kata. Melalui kegiatan bernyanyi, subjek penelitian juga meningkat kemampuan berkomunikasi non verbal, verbal, dan interaksi sosialnya. Peningkatan kemampuan tersebut tidak lepas dari peran orang tua yang kooperatif dan peduli terhadap kemajuan anaknya. Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Bernyanyi, Autis, Artikulasi Bicara Autism is a kind of development disorder for children. This research is intended to increase speech articulation for an autism child who finds obstacle in communication. This Action Research involves an autism child who has disturbance in her speech articulation and her parents as the helper. Data were submitted from February 2013 until May 2013 in three cycles. The result of the research shows that there is an articulation improvement. Through singing, the subject also develops her non verbal and verbal communication, also her social interaction. Mother involvement on this program with cooperatively, have a many impact for her child progress. Keywords: Singing learning model, Autism, Speech articulation
