Abstract

Kuatnya arus modernisasi dan globalisasi merupakan ancaman bagi eksistensi budaya lokal. Transformasi nilai sosial budaya melalui pendidikan dan pengajaran IPS di sekolah merupakan alternatif untuk mengantisipasi persoalan tersebut. Tujuan studi etnopedagogi tradisi komunitas Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon, untuk menemukan kerangka konseptual pembelajaran IPS berbasis pada nilai kearifan lokal. Fokus penelitian, pertama, kehidupan sosial budaya komunitas Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon. Kedua, identifikasi nilai-nilai sosial budaya komunitas Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon. Ketiga, strategi implementasi transformasi nilai-nilai sosial budaya tersebut ke dalam kurikulum dan pembelajaran IPS di sekolah. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan situs dan subjek penelitian komunitas Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon, siswa, dan guru SMP Negeri 3 Cirebon. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam dan studi dokumentasi. Instrumen observasi dan wawancara dilengkapi dengan alat bantu berupa, catatan harian, kamera, tape recorder dan human instrument. Data dianalisis dengan teknik deskripsi analisis interpretative. Prosedur pengolahan data melalui tahapan, collection data, reductional data, data display dan conclusion, drawing/verification. Data divalidasi menggunakan teknik triangulasi, member checking, rich and thick description, sharing, dan peer the briefing. Hasil penelitian: (1) Budaya dan tradisi komunitas Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon dikembangkan berdasarkan orientasi pada nilai-nilai ke-Islaman tassawuf. (2) Kearifan lokal komunitas Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon meliputi; nilai-nilai Keimanan dan ketaqwaan kepada Allah S.w.t., kecintaan terhadap alam, sikap sosial dan kepedulian dan pendidikan karakter, dapat ditransformasikan ke dalam kurikulum dan pembelajaran IPS. (3) Strategi pengembangan kurikulum dan pembelajaran melalui additive approach dan thematic approach, pada pembelajaran IPS berbasis kearifan lokal Cirebon, dapat mengembangkan sikap sosial dan kepedulian siswa terhadap lingkungan sosial dan budayanya. Rekomendasi peneliti: Untuk memperkuat pembelajaran IPS berbasis kearifan lokal Cirebon, pakar dan guru IPS harus mengembangkan wawasan dan pemahaman tentang budaya dan tradisi keraton Cirebon melalui pendekatan rasional dan intuitif yang didasari pada nilai-nilai keimaman dan tauhid.--------------The huge of modernization and globalization causes the local culture threatening. The socio-cultural value transformation through the Social Science education and instruction at schools is an alternative to anticipate the threat. The aims of this ethnopedagogical research of the Kasepuhan Palace Community tradition of Cirebon were to seek the conceptual framework of Social Science instruction based on the local wisdom values. The foci of the study were (1) the socio-cultural phenomenon of the Kasepuhan Palace Community, Cirebon; (2) the identification of the socio-cultural values of the Kasepuhan Palace Community, Cirebon; and (3) the implementation strategies of the socio-cultural transformation into the Social Science curriculum and learning process at junior high schools. This research was qualitative. The research sites and subjects of the study were the Kasepuhan Palace community of Cirebon, students, and teachers of the SMP Negeri 3 (State Junior High School 3), Cirebon. The techniques of data collection were participatory observation, in-depth interview, and document analysis. The instruments of observation and interview were supported by field notes, camera, tape-recorder, and human instrument. The data were analyzed through interpretative-descriptive technique of analysis. The procedures of the analysis were data collecting, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The data validation was conducted through triangulation, member checking, rich and thick description. The research findings suggest that (1) the culture and tradition of the community of the Kasepuhan Palace Cirebon is developed according to the tasawuf - the Islamic based values orientation. (2) The local wisdom of the community of the Kasepuhan Palace, Cirebon including the values of beliefs and faiths in Allah, love of the nature, social attitude and awareness and character building can be transformed into the Social Science curriculum and learning process at schools. (3) The strategy of curriculum and learning development through additive and thematic approaches of the Cirebonese local wisdom based Social Science learning is able to develop social attitude and awareness of the learners about their social environment and its culture. It is recommended that to strengthen the Cirebonese local wisdom based Social Science learning, experts and the Social Science school teachers have to develop their insights on the culture and tradition of the Cirebonese palace through the rational and intuitive approaches based on the moslem leaderships (imam) and faiths.
