Abstract

Keberadaan ruang publik di dalam kota semakin terbatas. Taman RA. Kartini salah satu ruang publik di Kota Cimahi yang keberadaannya masih belum dimanfaatkan dengan baik oleh masyarakat kota. Ruang terbuka yang memiliki fungsi sebagai tempat berekreasi dan besosiolisasi, justru tidak dimanfaatkan dengan baik oleh masyarakat kota. Maka dari itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis fungsi rekreasi dan persepsi pengunjung terhadap fungsi rekreasi di Taman Kartini. Selanjutnya menganalisis upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengembangkan Taman RA. Kartini sebagai ruang rekreasi publik. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dan informasi mengenai fungsi rekreasi di Taman RA. Kartini diperoleh dari data primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan kuesioner kepada pengunjung taman. Metode analisis data menggunakan Analisis Tapak yang menghasilkan upaya pengembangan taman melalui peta perencanaan tapak. Teknik analisis data berupa analisis potensi dan kendala baik fisik ataupun sosial yang ada di area taman. Dalam penelitian ini menghasilkan upaya pengembangan Taman Kartini untuk menjadi ruang rekreasi publik di Kota Cimahi. Langkah awal yang dapat ditempuh oleh pemerintah sebagai upaya pengembangan Taman RA. Kartini adalah perbaikan fasilitas taman untuk menunjang kenyamanan pengunjung. Selanjutnya pengembangan fasilitas rekreasi di taman, seperti area bermain anak, lapangan olahraga multifungsi, area piknik keluarga, gazebo, dan wc umum. Selain itu, pengembangan daya tarik taman pun dapat dilakukan dengan menjadikan Taman Kartini sebagai identitas Kota Cimahi dengan menanam vegetasi khas Cimahi di taman. ---------- The existence of public space in the city increasingly limited right now. RA. Kartini Park was one of public space in Cimahi whose existence is still not utilized well by the people of the city. Open space that has a function as a place of recreation and socializing, not put to good use by the people of the city. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the function of recreation and leisure visitor perceptions of the RA Kartini Park. Further analyzes efforts can be made to develop RA Kartini Park as a public recreation space. In this study, researchers used a descriptive method with qualitative approach. The main data and information regarding recreational functions at RA. Kartini Park, was obtained from primary and secondary data. The technique of collecting data through observation, interviews, documentation, and a questionnaire to visitors to the park. Methods of data analysis using the Site Analysis garden produce development efforts through site planning map. Data analysis techniques such as the analysis of the potential and constraints of either physical or social in the garden area. In this research resulted in the development of R.A Kartini Park efforts to become a public recreation space in Cimahi. The initial steps that can be taken by the government as an effort to develop RA Kartini Park is to increase a recreational facilities in the park, such as children's play area, a multifunctional sports field, a family picnic area, gazebo, and gazebo. In addition, the development of the attractiveness of the park can be done such as repair some facilities in the park to increase visitor pleasure. In addition, the development of the atraction in the park is make Kartini’s Park to be an identity from Cimahi with plant the Cimahi’s vegetation in this park.
