Abstract

Kondisi yang dimiliki anak tunagrahita ringan sering kali membuat tingkat kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap kemampuan mereka dalam bekerja menjadi rendah sehingga anak tunagrahita sulit diterima dalam dunia pekerjaan setelah mereka lulus dalam pendidikan formal. Maka pembelajaran keterampilan dapat menjadi salah satu solusi untuk mengembangkan kemampuan anak tunagrahita ringan, karena sangat penting bagi anak tunagrahita ringan untuk memiliki keterampilan khusus yang dikuasainya setelah lulus sekolah kelak agar mereka mampu berdaya secara ekonomi. Pembelajaran membuat roti merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang dapat dikembangkan dan diterapkan di sekolah. Proses pembuatannya yang tidak terlalu rumit dengan bahan-bahan yang mudah didapat dinilai mampu dilakukan dan diterapkan pada anak tunagrahita ringan tingkat SMPLB. Masalah yang akan diungkap dalam penelitian ini yaitu pelaksanaan pembelajaran keterampilan membuat roti isi, kemampuan anak tunagrahita ringan dalam keterampilan membuat roti isi, hambatan yang dialami dalam pembelajaran keterampilan membuat roti isi, upaya guru dalam mengatasi hambatan dalam pembelajaran keterampilan membuat roti isi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data dengan menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data penelitian maka diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa kemampuan anak dalam keterampilan membuat roti isi secara keseluruhan pun sudah baik. Anak sudah mengenal alat dan bahan membuat roti isi serta dapat mengikuti proses pembuatan roti sesuai langkah-langkah membuat roti isi meskipun masih membutuhkan bimbingan guru pada beberapa hal. ---------- Conditions had by mild mentally disabled children often make people belief of their capacity in working become low so that the mentally disabled children difficult to be accepted in the world of work after graduated from formal education. Therefore, skills learning can be one of the solutions to develop mild mentally disabled children capacity, since it is very important for the mild mentally disabled children to have specialized skills to master after graduated from school later so that they can be capable economically. Bread making learning is one of the skills that can be developed and applied in school. The making process which is not too complicated with easy to get ingredients considered to be able to be done and applied on SMPLB level mild mentally disabled children. Problem which will be revealed in this research is the implementation of bread making learning, ability of mild mentally disabled children in bread making skill, obstacles experienced in bread making skill learning, and teacher effort to overcome the obstacles in bread making skill learning. This research used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection tool used are observation, interview, and document analysis. Data validity checking technique used triangulation technique. Based on research data processing result then obtained conclusion that children ability in bread making skill overall has been good. Children have been familiar with the equipment and ingredients to make bread and also can follow bread making process conformable with the steps of bread making although still need teacher guidance on some things.
