Abstract
Permasalahan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya disiplin kerja guru di SMK PGRI 2 Cimahi. Hal tersebut ditandai dengan fluktuasi ketidakhadiran. Dari fenomena tersebut dapat dikatakan SMK PGRI 2 Cimahi belum sepenuhnya mewujudkan tujuan organisasi yang dikehendaki. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua variabel yaitu kompensasi (X) dan disiplin kerja guru (Y). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai efektivitas pemberian kompensasi, gambaran mengenai tingkat disiplin kerja guru, dan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh dari kompensasi terhadap disiplin kerja guru. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksplanatory survey. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan penyebaran angket. Analisis data menggunakan regresi sederhana. Anggota populasi yaitu 42 guru. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, didapatkan informasi bahwa kompensasi dan disiplin kerja guru berada pada kategori sedang. Dari hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh bahwa efektivitas kompensasi berpengaruh positif. Namun demikian, disiplin kerja SMK PGRI 2 Cimahi tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh kompensasi saja, melainkan ada faktor lainnya yang juga berpengaruh, tetapi tidak dikaji dalam penelitian ini.----------The issues that were examined in this research is about the low of work teachers’ discipline in SMK PGRI 2 Cimahi. It is characterized by the fluctuations in teachers’ absence. From this phenomenon, it can be said that SMK PGRI 2 Cimahi had not fully achieved the expected organizational goals. This research consists of two variables, they are compensation (X) and work teachers’ discipline (Y). The purpose of the research are to desribe the effectiveness of compensation, to describe work teachers’ discipline and the last is to fins out whether there is any influence from compensation on work teachers’ discipline. The methode that was used in this research is from eksplanatory that is analyzed using simple regression. The members of the population are 42 teachers. Based on the analyze of the study, it can be inferred that compensation effectiveness and work teachers’ discipline at SMK PGRI 2 Cimahi are in the medium category. The result of the hypothesis test, it is also obtained that the effectiveness of compensation has positive effect. Nevertheless, the teachers’ discipline of SMK PGRI 2 Cimahi was not only influenced by compensation, but also by other factors which were not investigated in this study.
