Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi hasil belajar siswa di kelas V-a pada mata pelajaran IPA. Metode yang digunakan guru masih menggunakan konvensional yaitu metode ceramah, tindakan kelas ini membahas tentang pendekatan kontekstual dalam pembelajaran IPA di SD. Tujuan penelitian secara umum untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana pendekatan kontekstual dalam pembelajaran IPA di SD. Adapun tujuan penelitian secara khusus, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan bagaimana peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan pendekatan kontekstual. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menerapkan pendekatan penelitian Spiral Kemmis dan Taggart yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanan tindakan, pengamatan (observasi), dan refleksi. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas V-a SDN X Kecamatan Cidadap Kota Bandung dengan jumlah siswa 32 orang terdiri dari 20 orang siswa perempuan dan 12 orang laki-laki. Hasil penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual pada mata pelajaran IPA materi peristiwa alam beserta dampaknya bagi lingkungan sekitar menunjukan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Siklus I nilai rata-rata siswa 78,59, pada siklus II nilai-nilai siswa 91,75 dan siswa yang lulus KKM pada siklus I 81, 25 % sedangkan pada siklus II yang lulus KKM 93,75 % jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan kontekstual dalam pembelajaran IPA materi peristiwa alam beserta dampaknya bagi lingkungan sekitar mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Saran dari hasil penelitian ini penerapan pendekatan kontekstual dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif pendekatan pembelajaran didalam kelas. Semoga penelitian ini bermanfaat bagi peneliti selanjutnya untuk menjadi bahan rujukan jika melakukan penelitian dengan menerapkan pendekatan kontekstual dalam pembelajaran IPA pada materi peristiwa alam.---------- This research is motivated learning outcomes of students in the class Va in science subjects. The method used by teachers are still using conventional methods lectures, class action is about the contextual approach in science teaching in elementary school. The research objective is generally to describe how the contextual approach in science teaching in elementary school. The purpose of the study specifically, the study aims to describe how the lesson plan, the implementation of learning, and how to increase student learning outcomes with contextual approach. The method used is classroom action research approach Kemmis Spiral research and Taggart consisting of planning, implementation action, observation (observation), and reflection. This study consisted of two cycles. The study was conducted in the class Va SDN X Cidadap Bandung District of the number of students 32 students consisting of 20 women and 12 men. The results using a contextual approach in science subjects material natural events and their consequences for the environment showed the presence enhancement student learning outcomes. I cycle students' average value 78.59, the second cycle values 91.75 students and students who pass the KKM in the first cycle 81, 25% while in the second cycle which passed KKM 93.75% so it can be concluded that the application of the approach Contextual in science learning material natural events and their consequences for the environment has increased student learning outcomes. Suggestions from the results of this study the application of the contextual approach can be an alternative approach to learning in the classroom. Hopefully this research useful for further research to be a reference material when doing research by applying contextual approach in science learning in the material natural events
