Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan intuisi matematis dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen berbentuk Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Variabel bebas penelitian adalah pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan pendidikan matematika realistik, variabel terikat adalah kemampuan intuisi matematis dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis, sedangkan variabel kontrol adalah peringkat sekolah dan kategori kemampuan awal matematis. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 164 siswa, yang terdiri dari 91 siswa sekolah peringkat atas (sekolah terakreditasi A), dan 73 siswa sekolah peringkat tengah (sekolah terakreditasi B). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan awal matematis, kemampuan intuisi matematis, dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji-t, ANAVA satu jalur, dan ANAVA dua jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik dapat lebih meningkatkan kemampuan intuisi matematis dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa dibandingkan dengan pendekatan pembelajaran matematika konvensional baik dilihat secara keseluruhan siswa yang menjadi subyek penelitian maupun para siswa berdasarkan peringkat sekolah dan perbedaan kategori kemampuan awal matematis. Tidak adanya interaksi antara pendekatan pembelajaran dan peringkat sekolah serta antara pendekatan pembelajaran dan perbedaan kategori kemampuan awal matematis, terhadap kemampuan intuisi matematis siswa maupun kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa, menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran lebih memberikan pengaruh terhadap peningkatan kedua kemampuan ini dibandingkan dengan peringkat sekolah maupun kemampuan awal matematis. ------------ The intention of the present study is to analyze the enhancement of students’ mathematical intuition ability and creative thinking ability. This study was a quasi-experiment in Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The independent variable of this study was mathematics learning with realistic mathematics education approach, the dependent variable was mathematical intuition ability and mathematical creative thinking ability, and the control variable was school level and the category of prior mathematical ability. The sample of this study consist of 164 students, 91 of them were the students from a top-level school (a school with accreditation of grade A), and 73 students from a middle level school (a school with accreditation of grade B). The instrument used in this study was a test of prior mathematical ability, mathematical intuition ability, and mathematical creative thinking ability. The data were analyzed with the t-test, one-way ANOVA, and two-way ANOVA. The result shows that students’ mathematical intuition and creative thinking abilities with realistic mathematics education approach are better than those with conventional mathematics approach both for all the subjects of this study and those on different school level or prior mathematical ability. There is no interaction between the learning approach and the school level, also for the learning approach and the prior mathematical ability, towards students’ mathematical intuition ability and their mathematical creative thinking ability. It can be concluded that the learning approach has more effect on the enhancement of those two abilities than the school level and prior mathematical ability.
