Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan menguji efektivitas pendekatan Konseling Kognitif Perilaku dengan menggunakan teknik self-management untuk mengembangkan perilaku tidak konsumtif peserta didik. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen kuasi pretest posttest control group design. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Negeri 3 Bandar Lampung dengan mengambil populasi penelitian yakni peserta didik kelas X (sepuluh) yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling sebanyak 36 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen perilaku konsumtif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara empirik, intervensi self-management efektif dalam mengembangkan perilaku tidak konsumtif peserta didik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dengan adanya peningkatan dari hasil posttest yaitu terdapat tiga aspek perilaku konsumtif yang mengalami penurunan skor secara efektif. Jadi, teknik self-management terbukti dapat dijadikan salah satu modus mengembangkan perilaku tidak konsumtif pada peserta didik.---------- The study aims to test the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Counseling approach using self-management techniques to developing students’ non-consumptive behavior. It addopted quantitative approach employing quasi-experimental research method with pretest posttest control group design. The reserch was conducted in SMA Negeri 3 Bandar Lampung with the tenth grade students’ as the research population, and as many as 36 students’ taken as sample by means of purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used is the instrument of consumer behavior. The results show that self-management intervention was empirically effective in developing students’ non-consumptive behavior . The effectiveness was observable in the students increased post-test scores, indicated effectively by a decrease in the scores of three aspects of consumtive behavior. Hence, self-management techniques has been proved to be one of the alternative modes of developing students’ non-consumptive behavior.
