Abstract

Salah satu kompetensi yang harus dimiliki seorang guru TK/RA adalah kompetensi profesional, karena itu diperlukan rencana dan kegiatan yang serius yang dapat membantu guru dalam mengembangkan kompetensinya agar dapat mendidik secara profesional sesuai dengan tujuan yang ingin dicapai. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat perbedaan profil kompetensi profesional antara guru yang mengajar di TK/RA fullday dengan halfday. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode ex post facto. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian yang dilakukan di TK/RA fullday dan halfday tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dengan nilai sig > 0,05 mengenai kompetensi profesional guru diantara kedua kelompok tersebut. Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukkan nilai 0,880 > 0,05, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa lamanya jam mengajar dalam satu hari tidak berpengaruh terhadap tingkat pengetahuan guru mengenai kompetensi yang harus dimilikinya khususnya kompetensi profesional. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, peneliti merekomendasikan pada setiap pendidik anak usia dini agar selalu berusaha untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengajarnya baik dari segi peningkatan kualifikasi akademik maupun kompetensinya agar dapat menjadi pendidik yang profesional.----------One of the competencies required of a Kindergarden/RA teacher is professional competence, therefore it is necessary to have serious plans and activities that can help teachers develop competencies in order to educate as professional in appropriate with the purpose to be achieved. The purpose of this study was to see the difference between the professional competence profile of teachers who teach in fullday kindergarten/RA with halfday kindergarten/RA. This study uses ex post facto method. Based on the findings of research conducted in fullday and halfday kindergarten/RA, there is no significant difference with sig value > 0.05 on the professional competence of teachers between that two groups. Research shows the value 0,880 > 0.05, so it can be said that the number of hours of teaching a day has no effect on the level of teacher knowledge about the competencies required in particular its professional competence. Based on these results, the researchers recommend in every early childhood educators to always strive to improve teaching capability both in terms of improving academic qualifications and competence in order to become a professional educator.
