Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh ketersediaan koleksi yang menjadi daya tarik pengunjung. Pokok masalah yang diungkap dalam penelitian adalah bagaimana pengaruh ketersediaan koleksi perpustakaan terhadap tingkat kunjungan pemustaka di Perpustakaan ITENAS. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui (1)Pengaruh ketersediaan koleksi perpustakaan terhadap tingkat kunjungan pemustaka di Perpustakaan ITENAS, (2)Relevansi koleksi perpustakaan terhadap tingkat kunjungan pemustaka di Perpustakaan ITENAS, (3)Kelengkapan koleksi perpustakaan terhadap tingkat kunjungan pemustaka di Perpustakaan ITENAS, dan (4)Kemutakhiran koleksi perpustakaan terhadap tingkat kunjungan pemustaka di Perpustakaan ITENAS. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah pengunjung di Perpustakaan ITENAS dengan sampel sebanyak 98 orang yang ditentukan dengan rumus Yamane dan menggunakan teknik Proportionate stratified random sampling. Metode penelitian menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket tertutup dengan skala Likert dengan pengolahan data menggunakan analisis korelasi dan regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1)Ketersediaan koleksi perpustakaan memiliki pengaruh yang kuat terhadap tingkat kunjungan pemustaka di Perpustakaan ITENAS, (2)Relevansi koleksi perpustakaan memiliki pengaruh yang sedang terhadap tingkat kunjungan pemustaka di Perpustakaan ITENAS, (3)Kelengkapan koleksi perpustakaan memiliki pengaruh yang kuat terhadap tingkat kunjungan pemustaka di Perpustakaan ITENAS, (4)Kemutakhiran koleksi perpustakaan memiliki pengaruh yang sangat rendah terhadap tingkat kunjungan pemustaka di Perpustakaan ITENAS. Ketersediaan koleksi di Perpustakaan ITENAS sejauh ini cukup baik, namun sebaiknya perpustakaan terus mencoba untuk melengkapi dan menyediakan koleksi yang mutakhir agar frekuensi kunjungan pemustaka semakin bertambah. The background of this research is the availability of collection which becomes visitors' interest. The main problem which is examined in this research is how is the influence of collection availability towards degree of the user visit in ITENAS library. The purpose of this research is to examine (1)The influence of collection availability a library towards degree of the user visit in ITENAS library (2)Relevance of library collection towards degree of the user visit in ITENAS library (3)Comprehensiveness of library collection towards degree of the user visit in ITENAS library, and (4)Recency of library collection towards degree of the user visit in ITENAS library. The population of this research consists of visitors in ITENAS library with sample as much 98 people which was determined by Yamane equation and using Proportionate stratified random sampling technique. This research used correlation and regression analysis method. The result of this research shows that (1)Collection availability of library has strong influence towards degree of the user visit in ITENAS library, (2)Relevance of library collection has moderate influence towards degree of the user visit in ITENAS library (3)Comprehensiveness of library collection has strong influence towards degree of the user visit in ITENAS library (4)Recency of library collection has very low influence towards degree of the user visit in ITENAS library. Collection availability in ITENAS library is good enough, but it will be better if library always try to complete and provide the latest collection in order to make frequency visit of the user of library more increase.
