Abstract
Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena remaja yang mengalami perubahan dramatis sehingga menimbulkan konflik internal atau eksternal. Kecemasan dan akumulasi stress dari transisi berkelanjutan semakin bertambah ketika konflik tidak dikendalikan secara efektif. Layanan bimbingan berbasis cultivating peace merupakan program yang menanamkan budaya damai pada remaja. Penelitian bertujuan menguji efektivitas layanan bimbingan berbasis cultivating peace dalam mengembangkan kompetensi hidup damai peserta didik. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, metode eksperimen kuasi, pretest dan posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Kota Sukabumi Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015 dan yang dijadikan sampel penelitian kelompok kontrol sebanyak 25 peserta didik dan kelompok eksperimen sebanyak 28 peserta didik yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen kompetensi hidup damai dari APEID dengan menggunakan pola penyekoran rating scale. Hasil uji efektifitas layanan berbasis cultivating peace dibuktikan secara empiris tidak efektif dalam mengembangkan kompetensi hidup damai peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil uji U-Mann Whitney dengan perolehan p = 0.247, dikarenakan p > 0.05 berarti layanan bimbingan berbasis cultivating peace tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pengembangan kompetensi hidup damai peserta didik --------- This research done due to phenomenon of adolescent that have experienced dramatical changes, causing internal or external conflict. Anxiety and stress accumulated from long transition will only increase when conflict is not effectively controlled. Cultivating peace based guidance service is a program which put peace culture into adolescent. The research aims evaluate the effectiveness of cultivating peace based guidance service in developing peaceful life competency among participant. The research use quantitative, quasi experimental method, pretest and posttest control group design. Participants are students of 10th grade at SMA Negeri 2, Kota Sukabumi, academic year 2014-2015, with total 161 students and sample control group of 25 students and the experimental group were 28 students were determined by purposive sampling technique. Instrument used is peaceful life competency instrument by APEID. The cultivating peace based guidance service test result has proven empirically ineffective in developing a peaceful life competency among participant. Based on the Mann-Whitney U test result with p = 0247, with p>0.05 means cultivating peace based counseling service has unsignificant influence on the development of peaceful life competency among participants
