Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pertanyaan dan strategi bertanya dalam pembelajaran. Pemberian pertanyaan dapat menstimulus siswa untuk berpikir dan merasakan. Penggunaan strategi bertanya dapat meningkatkan penguasaan materi pelajaran dan meningkatkan partisipasi aktif siswa. Saat ini pembelajaran difokuskan tercapainya aspek kognitif dan dibudayakan sebagai proses menghafal serta strategi bertanya terkadang diabaikan oleh guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pertanyaan guru ditinjau dari aspek kognitif dan afektif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dan evaluasi pembelajaran IPS di kelas IV SD serta strategi yang digunakan guru dalam bertanya (redirection, promting, probing dan wait time). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif, yang bertujuan mendeskripsikan kategori pertanyaan dan strategi bertanya guru. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemunculan pertanyaan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran pada aspek kognitif sangat tinggi (94,69%) dan pertanyaan aspek afektif sangat rendah (5,3%). Pertanyaan dalam aspek kognitif muncul pada kategori mengingat dengan tingkat kemunculan rendah (36,94%), mamahami dengan tingkat kemunculan tinggi (62,68%) dan kemunculan sangat rendah (0,82%) pada pertanyaan menganalisis. Pertanyaan dalam aspek afektif muncul pada ketegori perceiving & initiating action (46, 66%) dan valuing (53,33%) dengan tingkat kemunculan yang sama, yakni sedang. Dalam evaluasi pembelajaran muncul pada pertanyaan aspek kognitif. Pertanyaan yang menuntut siswa untuk mengingat tingkat kemunculannya rendah (34,54%) dan pertanyaan memahami tingkat kemunculan tinggi (65,45%). Adapun strategi bertanya redirection secara umum lebih sering digunakan secara klasikal. Strategi promting hanya digunakan oleh satu guru. Probing digunakan oleh keempat guru dan terdapat satu guru yang sering menggunakannya. Adapun strategi wait time masih sangat jarang digunakan. Kata kunci: Pertanyaan, pertanyaan guru dan strategi bertanya. This study is based on the importance of question and questioning strategy in learning. Question posing can stimulate student to think and feel. The use of questioning strategy can enhance mastery of lesson material and enhance student’s active participation. Today, learning is focused on cognitive aspect achievement and cultured as process of memorizing and teachet sometimes gloss over questioning strategy. This study aim to analyze teacher’s question viewed by cognitive and affective aspects in learning and evaluation of Social Science in class IV of Elementary School and strategy which is used by teacher in questioning (redirection, prompting, probing and wait time). Method used in this study is descriptive method, which aimed to describe category of question and questioning strategy. Data collection is done through observation, interview technique and documentary study. The result of study show that the appearance of question in learning in cognitive aspect is very high (94, 69%) and question in affective aspect is very low (5,3%). The question in cognitive aspect appear in category of recall with level of appearance is low (36.94%), category of comprehension with level of appearance is high (62.68%) and its appearance is very low (0.82%) in question of analyzing. The question in affective aspect appear in category of perceiving & initiating action (46.66%) and valuing (53.33%) with the same level of appearance, that is mediocre. In evaluation, learning only appears in cognitive aspect. The question which demand students to recall is in low appearance (34.54%) and question of comprehension is in high appearance level (65.45%). As for redirection strategy in general more often is used classically. Prompting strategy is only used by one teacher. Probing is used by four teachers and there is one teacher who often use it.
