    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan penguasaan konsep melalui penerapan praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada konsep Animalia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasy experimental dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest Design. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes penguasaan konsep siswa dan lembar kerja siswa (LKS). Sampel penelitian adalah kelas X MIA 5 dan X MIA 7 dari salah satu SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran dengan praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing tidak dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa. Hal ini ditandai dengan meningkatnya rata-rata nilai pretest siswa dan nilai posttest siswa pada kelas eksperimen tetapi nilai N-gain yang didapat lebih besar kelas kontrol daripada kelas kontrol. Nilai N-gain untuk kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,32 termasuk kriteria sedang, sedangkan untuk kelas kontrol sebesar 0,34 termasuk kriteria sedang. Dalam setiap jenjang kognitif dapat dikatakan praktikum inkuiri terbimbing hanya dapat membantu peningkatan pada jenjang kognitif C1, sedangkan untuk jenjang C2 dan C3 tidak terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan praktikum inkuiri terbimbing tidak dapat meningkatkan seluruh jenjang kognitif penguasaan konsep siswa.

    This study aimed to analyze the increasing mastery of science concepts students through guided inquiry-based practical application of the concept of Animalia. The method used is quasy experimental research design with pretest- posttest design. The research instrument used in the form of a test mastering concepts and student worksheets. Samples were class X MIA 5 and X MIA 7 of one of the high schools in Bandung. The results obtained show that the application of learning with guided inquiry-based lab cannot increase student mastery of concepts . It is characterized by an increased average value of student pretest and posttest score of students in the experimental class but N-gain value obtained is greater than the control class. N-gain value for the experimental class, including criteria was 0.32, while for the control class of 0.34 including the criteria for being. In each level can be said to be practical cognitive guided inquiry can only help increase the cognitive level C1, while for C2 and C3 level there is no significant improvement. It can be concluded that the guided inquiry learning with practical work cannot improve all levels of cognitive mastery of concepts students.
