Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kemampuan berpikir siswa yang sudah mencapai tahapan operasional formal, artinya tahapan yang sudah mampu berpikir secara abstrak dan mampu memecahkan masalah yang kompleks. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengungkapkan proses pengamalan siswa dalam mengaransemen musik yang kreatif pada lagu Bungong Jeumpa melalui Project Based Learning. Alasan dilaknakan penelitian, karena peneliti ingin memperkenalkan lagu daerah Aceh, yaitu lagu Bungong Jeumpa di kelas XI MIA 1 SMAN 14 Bandung melalui kegiatan berproses mengaransemen musik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi fenomenologi. Temuan penelitian, yakni pemaknaan dari pengalaman siswa dalam pembelajaran aransemen bahwa mengaransemen musik dibutuhkan pengetahuan teori-teori berkaitan dengan itu. Selanjutnya, ketercapaian aransemen musik didapat melalui kerja sama tim yang dipimpin oleh seorang siswa yang dipercaya sebagai arranger yang dipilih teman-temannya untuk proyek aransemen musik. Selama proses latihan musik tidak pernah lepas yang namanya kerja sama tim yang baik, yakni saling mengajarkan antara satu sama lain, tenggang rasa sesama teman, saling memberikan motivasi dan dukungan, serta aktif dalam memecahkan masalah yang rumit disaat merancang maupun latihan musik sehingga tercermin suatu sikap yang kreatif. Selain itu, dapat meningkatkan rasa percayaan diri akan kemampuan yang telah dimilikinya selama pembelajaran aransemen musik melalui ungkapan siswa pada kegiatan evaluasi. Kata kunci: kreativitas, aransemen musik, lagu daerah Aceh, Project Based Learning. The background of this study is to identify students’ ability to think critically in a formal operational stage; it means that students are able to think something in an abstract way and solve some complicated problems. This study aims at exploring students’ experience in arranging music of Bungong Jeumpa creatively through Project Based Learning. The reason for the writer to conduct this study is to introduce Acehness traditional song, Bungong Jeumpa to the students of in class- XI MIA 1 SMAN 14 Bandung by carrying out an activity of arranging music. A phenomenological study was used as a method of this study. The results show that first of all, theories related to the arrangement of music are needed when one is going to arranger music. Second, team work, led by a student who has been reposed trust in being an arranger, has the potential to make music arranger successful; during the practice, music seems unable to be separated from a team work- team work will teach how to appeciate, support, and motivate other to participate in solving problems when they are arranging music, team work also can build harmony wich in turn team work can produce creativity. Finally, team work can increase confidence of students that they are able to arrange music- it was expressed by a student in the evaluation of the study.
