Abstract

Wilayah perkotaan merupakan wilayah yang kegiatan utamanya bukan di bidang pertanian, namun perkotaan merupakan wilayah yang kegiatan utamanya di bidang perdagangan barang dan jasa. Kota Bandung merupakan kota terbesar di Provinsi Jawa Barat yang lahan pertanian sawahnya terluas di antara kota-kota lainnya yang ada di Jawa Barat. Eksistensi lahan pertanian di Kota Bandung menjadi satu gejala yang terjadi tidak semestinya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi eksistensi lahan pertanian dan mengidentifikasi kondisi sosial ekonomi petani di Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan survey untuk mengamati langsung kondisi daya dukung lahan terhadap pertanian dan tingkat kesejahteraan petani. Penelitian ini dikalsanakan di tiga wilayah sampel berdasarkan kategori luas lahan pertanian luas, sedang, dan sempit, yang meliputi Kecamatan Gedebage, Kecamatan Buahbatu, Kecamatan Bandung Kulon dan Kecamatan Cibiru. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa faktor fisik yang mempengaruhi eksistansi lahan pertanian yang meliputi aksesibilitas, morfologi, hidrologi dan jenis tanah sangat mendukung adanya lahan pertanian di Kota Bandung, kemudian faktor sosial yang meliputi kebijakan pemerintah, status kepemilikan lahan, tenaga kerja dan pengeluaran dan pendapatan petani cukup mendukung eksistensi lahan pertanian yang ada di Kota Bandung. Tingkat kesejahteraan petani dapat dinilai cukup sejahtera karena hasil produksi dari pertanian cukup baik. Hal ini membuat petani dapat memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-harinya. Meskipun suatu saat lahan sawah pasti berubah sesuai dengan RTRW Kota Bandung, namun sampai saat ini lahan sawah di Kota Bandung masih eksis dengan daya dukung dari berbagai macam faktor. Kata Kunci : Eksistensi, Lahan, Pertanian, Petani. The most activities in the urban area is not farming, but the most activities in the field of urban area are trades in goods and service. Bandung City is the biggest city in West Java Province that agricultural lands are the widest between other cities in West Java. The existence of agricultural land in Bandung City is a factor that not supposed to be happened. The goal of this research are analyzing factors that affected existence of agricultural land and identify farmer social economy condition in Bandung City. The research method uses a descriptive method with observe directly survey of the land, carrying capacity condition against agriculture and farmer's welfare. The research is implemented in three sample areas according to the category of agriculture land's area: wide, medium, and narrow that is covers Gedebage sub-district, Buahbatu sub-district, Bandung Kulon sub-district and Cibiru sub-district. The result of this research shows that physical factor influenced the existence of agricultural land that covers accessibility, morphology, hydrology and land types are supports the existence of agricultural land in Bandung City. The level of farmer's welfare can be rated as a good enough because the result of farming is good enough. This allows farmer able to fulfill their needs. Although one day their race fields will change in line with Urban Land Use Plan, yet now the rice fields in Bandung City still exist with supported from many factors.
