Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya teknik menulis dalam pembelajaran menulis cerita pendek. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji keefektifan teknik peta pikiran dalam pembelajaran menulis cerita pendek. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas XI SMA Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung dengan subjek penelitian kelas XI SOSHUM 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI SOSHUM 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa diperoleh nilai rata-rata prates sebesar 60,08 dan meningkat pada hasil nilai pascates sebesar 70,54. Selain itu, berdasarkan uji hipotesis yang dilakukan diperoleh ttabel ≤ thitung ≥ ttabel, yaitu 1,998 ≤ 8,90 ≥ 1,998. Hasil pengujian hipotesis ini dan mengacu pada Ha dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan siswa dalam menulis cerpen sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan teknik peta pikiran (mind map), lalu dibuktikannya bahwa Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Hal ini menunjukkan keefektifan penerapan teknik peta pikiran dalam pembelajaran menulis cerita pendek siswa kelas XI SMA Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung. Kata Kunci: Menulis ,Cerita pendek, Peta Pikiran This study/research is motivated/backgrounded by lack of technical write(ing) in short stories/flash fiction write learning. The purpose of this study/research was to test the effectiveness of mind map technique in short stories/flash fiction write(ing) learning. The study was conducted in class XI SMA Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung with research subject, class XI SOSHUM 3 as an experimental class and calss XI SOSHUM 2 as a control class. The result based on calculations show that the average values obtained pre-test 60.08 and rise on the post-test to 70.54. In addition, based on the hypothesis test to be obtained ttabel ≤ thitung ≥ ttabel was ≥ 1,998 1,998 ≤ 8,90. Results of testing this hypothesis and refers Ha and it can be concluded that there are significant differences between students ability to write short stories before and after the study using the mind map technique, and proved that Ha accepted and Ho rejected. This shows the effectiveness of the application of mind map technique on short story writing learning in class XI SMA Laboratorium Pilot UPI Bandung.
