    Abstract

    Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kontribusi pengalaman praktik industri terhadap prestasi uji kompetensi pada siswa kelas XII PPU SMKN 12 Bandung. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian expost facto dengan menggunakan pendekatan analisis deskriptif korelasional. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XII PPU SMKN 12 Bandung. Sampel diambil sebanyak 80 siswa dengan menggunakan diagram harry king secara proportional random sampling dari jumlah populasi 92 siswa yang tersebar di tiga kelas. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket dan lembar rekap nilai. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukan bahwa pengalaman praktek industri dan prestasi uji kompetensi siswa kelas XII PPU SMKN 12 Bandung termasuk kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis chi-kuadrat (χ2) dengan menggunakan tabel kontingensi 2x2 (koreki Yattes) diperoleh, bahwa pengalaman praktek industri tidak berkontribusi terhadap prestasi uji kompetensi.
    The main objective of this study is to determine the contribution of industry practice experience to achievement of competency test on XII PPU class in SMKN 12 Bandung. This research is a kind of ex-post facto research using correlational descriptive analysis approach. The subjects were students of class XII PPU SMKN 12 Bandung. Samples were taken by 80 students using Harry King diagrams with proportional random sampling from 92 students population spread across three classes. Data collection is done by using a questionnaire and a recap sheet value. Descriptive analysis suggests that the industry practices experience and achievement of competency test on class XII PPU SMKN 12 Bandung in medium category. Based on the results of chi-kuadrat (χ2) hypothesis test using 2x2 contingency tables (Yattes correction) is obtained, that the industry practices experience do not contribute to the achievement of competency test.
