Abstract

Kosakata adalah salah satu aspek penting dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jepang. Hal itu dikarenakan ketrampilan seeorang dalam berbahasa sangat dipengaruhi oleh kualitas pemahaman dan kuantitas kosakata, semakin banyak kosakatanya semakin besar kemampuan berbahasanya. Kesulitan penguasaan kosakata menjadi masalah bagi para pembelajar bahasa Jepang. Karena itu dibutuhkan media yang efektif dalam pembelajaran kosakata bahasa Jepang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam menguasai kosakata sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan software Eurotalk Japanese, mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan software Eurotalk Japanese dalam pembelaran kosakata bahasa Jepang, dan untuk mengetahui respon pembelajar dalam mempelajari kosakata menggunakan software Eurotalk Japanese. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode True Experiment dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-D dan VII-B SMP Laboratorium UPI Bandung masing-masing kelas diambil 20 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa test dan angket. Dari hasil analisis data diketahui bahwa pembelajaran kosakata menggunakan software Eurotalk Japanese lebih efektif dari metode konvensional. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan rata-rata normalized gain yang diperoleh kelas eksperimen 0,85 sedangkan rata-rata normalized gain yang diperoleh kelas kontrol hanya 0,64. Berdasarkan hasil angket, seluruh sampel beranggapan software Eurotalk Japanese membantu mempermudah dalam pembelajaran kosakata. Kata Kunci: kosakata, multimedia, software, Eurotalk Japanese One of important aspect in learning Japanese language is vocabulary. That's because a person of skill in the language is strongly influenced by the quality and quantity of vocabulary comprehension, more vocabulary in mind more proficiency. Difficulty of learning vocabulary becomes a problem for the Japanese language. Because of that, effective media is needed to learning Japanese words. This research objective is to know students ability to remembering words in Japanese before and after using Eurotalk Japanese Software, to know effectiveness of using Eurotalk Japanese Software in Japanese words learning, and to know students response after using Eurotalk Japanese Software. This research using True Experiment metodh with pretest-postest control group design. Sample of this research is B and D class of 7th grade of SMP Laboratorium UPI Bandung. Each class using 20 sample. This research using test and questionnaire as an research instrument. Based on data analysis result, learning Japanese words using Eurotalk Japanese software is better than using convetional method. This is evidenced by the average normalized gain obtained by experimental class is 0.85 while the average normalized gain obtained by control class is only 0.64. Based on the results of the questionnaire, the entire sample assumes that Eurotalk Japanese software helps facilitate vocabulary learning.
