Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Efektifitas Penerapan Model Brain Based Learning Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Sekolah Menegah Atas”. dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya permasalahan di lapangan mengenai kesenjangan hasil belajar siswa SMA yang memperlihatkan kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam memahami materi pelajaran. Model brain based learning merupakan suatu model khusus untuk menilai potensi yang sesungguhnya dari otak dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga berdampak adanya peningkatan dalam hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahuiperbedaanhasilbelajarmatapelajarangeografiantarasiswa yang diberi model brain based learningdengansiswa yang diberi model konvensional yang dilihatdariranah kognitif,afektif dan psikomotor. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Quasi Experiment dengantipeNon-Equivalen Control Group Design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri 10 Kota Bandung yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu menggunakan tes prestasi belajar dengan soal pilihan ganda dan format observasi. Metode penelitian ini dengan cara membagi siswa kedalam kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen sebelum diberikan perlakuan/treatment setiap kelas terlebih dahulu diberikan pretes lalu pemberian perlakuan/treatment dan pada tahap akhir diberikan postes untuk mengetahui perbedaan masing-masing kelas.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan hasil bahwa terdapatperbedaanhasilbelajargeografiantarasiswa yang diberi model brain based learningdengansiswa yang diberi model konvensionalpadamatapelajarangeografikelas XI. Dari analisis data yaitu rekapitulasi peningkatan skor hasil belajar kognitif dengan gain <g> sebesar 0,62 dengan kategori sedang. Untuk hasil belajar ranah afektif siswa didapatkan dengan rata-rata nilai pada kategori rendah dan hasil belajar ranah psikomotor dengan rata-rata nilai pada kategori sedang. Motivated by the existence of problems in the field of the high school student learning outcomes disparitieswhich shows a lack of ability of the students in understanding the subject matter. Model brain based learning is a special model for assessingthe true potential of the brain in the learning processthat impacting the increase in student learning outcomes. This research aims to determine differences in learning outcomes of subjects geographyAmong the students were given a model of brain based learning with the students who were given conventional models that seen from the cognitive, affective and psychomotor. The method used in this study is Quasi Experiment with type Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The sample in this research is XI IPS class in SMAN 10 Bandung was taken using cluster random sampling technique. The data collection performed was used achievement test with multiple choice questions and observations format. This research method by dividing the students into the control class and experimental classbefore being given treatment of each class in advance given the pretestthen giving treatment / treatment and at the final stage given postest to know the differences of each class. Based on the results of the study showed that there are differences in geography learning outcomes among students who were given a model of brain-based learning with the students who were given conventional model on the subjects of geography XI class. From the data analysis that increased scores recapitulation cognitive learning outcomes with gain<g> at 0.62 with the medium category. For affective student learning outcomes obtained with an average value at low category and psychomotor learning outcomes with an average value at medium category.
