Abstract

Skripsi ini berjudul “Penerapan Keterampilan Berpikir Kesejarahan Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Siswa Pada Pembelajaran Sejarah di Kelas XI IPS 3 SMAN 3 Cimahi”. Tujuan umum dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa melalui penerapan keterampilan berpikir kesejarahan dalam pembelajaran sejarah karena kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa di kelas XI IPS 3 masih rendah. Kebanyakan siswa bersifat pasif dengan hanya mendengar ceramah dari guru. Ketika siswa dihadapkan dalam suatu persoalan, siswa belum mampu dalam memecahkan masalah.Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan desain penelitian dari Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dilakukan dengan empat tahap yaitu perencanaan (plan), tindakan (act), pengamatan (observe), dan refleksi (reflect). Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, hasil menunjukkan bahwa penerapan keterampilan berpikir kesejarahan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah di kelas XI IPS 3 SMAN 3 Cimahi. Hal tersebut terlihat pada siklus 1 sampai siklus 3yang mengalami peningkatan dan terjadi sedikit penurunan pada siklus 4 yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor dan data menunjukkan titik jenuh. Dari data yang ada dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan keterampilan berpikir kesejarahan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang awalnya masih rendah. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan saran atau rekomendasi serta bahan pertimbangan untuk guru agar siswa memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang berhubungan dekat dengan kehidupan siswa sehingga menjadikan pembelajaran sejarah lebih berarti. Kata Kunci: Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, Berpikir Kesejarahan, Pemecahan Masalah This thesis entitled "Application of Historical Thinking Skills to develop Problem Solving Skill Ability In History Teaching in Class XI IPS 3 SMAN 3 Cimahi". The main purpose in this research is to know how the students' problem solving skills through the application of historical thinking skills in history teaching as problem solving skill of students in class XI IPS 3 is still low. In addition, most students are passive with only heard a lecture from the teacher. When students are exposed in a particular issue, the students have not been able to solve problems. The research method used is the method of classroom action research with the research design from Kemmis and Mc Taggart. Method of research is classroom action research is done with four stages: planning, action, observations, and reflection. Based on research that has been conducted, the results show that the application of historical thinking skills can enhance problem solving skill of students in the teaching of history in class XI IPS 3 SMAN 3 Cimahi. It is seen in cycle 1 to cycle 3 were increased and there was a slight decrease in cycle 4 were caused by several factors and data showing the saturation point. From the data it can be concluded that the application of historical thinking skills can improve students' problem-solving abilities are initially still low. The results could be used as advice or recommendations as well as consideration for the teachers so that students have the ability to problem-solving that is closely related to the lives of students making learning more meaningful history.
