Abstract
Beberapa tahun belakangan ini, kupu-kupu banyak diminati oleh masyarakat umum, kolektor serangga, sampai ilmuwan karena bentuk dan warnanya yang bermacam-macam. Oleh sebab itu, perlu adanya pelestarian kupu-kupu salah satu caranya adalah dengan rearing teknik, sekaligus untuk mengamati lamanya waktu siklus hidup kupu-kupu. Perbedaan lamanya siklus hidup kupu-kupu umumnya ditentukan oleh species itu sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsumsi tanaman inang yang berbeda terhadap lamanya siklus hidup Papilio memnon. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimental dengan menguji tiga tanaman inang yang berbeda, yaitu Citrus sp., Citrus amblycarpa, dan Citrus reticulata terhadap stadia pradewasa Papilio memnon. Data yang didapat berupa lamanya hari yang dibutuhkan pada masing-masing stadia (telur, larva, dan pupa) serta pengamatan morfologi tiap stadia, dan pengukuran morfometri pada imago yang didapat. Digunakan uji One Way Anova untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan lamanya siklus hidup Papilio memnon pada ketiga tanaman inang yang berbeda. Hasil pengamatan morfologi tiap stadia dan pengukuran morfometri imago disajikan dengan menggunakan tabel dan gambar. Hasil penelitian lamanya siklus hidup menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata lamanya siklus hidup stadia pradewasa (hari) Papilio memnon yang dihitung dengan statistika deskriptif pada tanaman Citrus sp., Citrus amblycarpa, dan Citrus reticulata berturut-turut adalah 48,6; 46,2; dan 48,3. Dilihat dari hasil statistik deskriptif tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan di antara ketiga tanaman tersebut. Saat diuji dengan uji One Way Anova juga tidak ditemukan adanya perbedaan antara ketiga tanaman yang dikonsumsi dengan lamanya siklus hidup Papilio memnon. Therefore, butterflies need to be preserved can be solved or done by the rearing techniques, as well as the length of time to observe the life cycle of the butterfly. Differences in the length of the life cycle of the butterfly is generally determined by the species itself. This study aims to determine the effect of consumption of different host plants on the length of the life cycle of Papilio memnon. This research is experimental one, testing three different host plants, namely Citrus sp., Citrus amblycarpa and Citrus reticulata of the pre-adult stadia of Papilio memnon. The data obtained in the form of the length of days required for each stage (eggs, larvae, and pupae) as well as morphological observation of each stage, and morphometric measurements in imago obtained. One Way Anova test was used to determine whether there a difference in the life cycle of Papilio memnon from three different host plants. The observation of the morphology of each stage and the imago morphometric measurements are presented using tables and figures. The length of the life cycle of research results shows that the average length of life cycle stages pre-adult (days) Papilio memnon is calculated by descriptive statistics on Citrus sp., Citrus amblycarpa and Citrus reticulata are respectively 48.6; 46.2; and 48.3. Judging from the results of the statistic, there is no significant difference among the three plants. When tested with One Way Anova test did not reveal any differences between the three crops with the length of the life cycle of Papilio memnon.
