Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari fenomena demo buruh yang terjadi akibat kurangnya kesejahteraan yang dirasakan buruh. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengetahui efek pelatihan syukur bagi buruh. Pelatihan ini menggunakan metode eksperimen kuasi yang mengacu pada penelitian Emmons berdasarkan tahapan pelatihan syukur: menulis jurnal syukur, mengingat masa sulit, merenungkan tiga pertanyaan, merasakan indera, membayangkan ingatan visual, hati-hati berkata, dan membuat janji bersyukur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pretest-posttest control group design. Responden penelitian ini adalah 24 orang buruh Pabrik Sarung Alimin yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah SWLS, SPANE, dan GQ. Analisis data Mann-Whitney menunjukkan bahwa : (1). Skor rerata posttest SWB pada kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelompok kontrol, (2). Tidak terdapat perbedaan rerata skor gratitude kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol, (3). Terdapat perbedaan rerata SWB yang signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan syukur efektif untuk meningkatkan SWB pada buruh Pabrik Sarung Alimin.---------- This study is based on the phenomenon of labor demonstrations that occurred due to a perceived lack of worker’s well-being. The goal was to determine the effect of gratitude training foe labour. The training uses quasi experimental method which refers to research based on the stage of Emmons’s gratitude training: keep a gratitude journal, remember the bad, ask yourself three questions, come to your sense, imagine the visual memory, watch your language, and gratitude promise. This study used pretest-posttest control group design. Respondents of this study were 24 workers who are divided into experimental and control groups. This research uses SWLS, SPANE, and GQ as instrument. Mann-Whitney analysis showed that: (1). SWB posttest mean score in the experimental group was higher than the control group, (2). There were no differences between the gratitude mean scores experimental and control groups, (3). There are significant differences between the SWB mean scores between experimental and control groups. The conclusion is the training is effective to increase SWB to the Alimin’s Garment workers
