Abstract

Perubahan yang dibawa Kurikulum 2013 terlihat pada penerapan pendekatan saintifik dalam pembelajaran. Pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik dapat dilaksanakan dengan model inkuiri terbimbing. Dengan model inkuiri terbimbing siswa terlatih bekerja dengan metode ilmiah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan penguasaan konsep dan sikap ilmiah antara siswa yang bergaya kognitif Field Dependent (FD) dan Field Independent (FI) dalam implementasi pendekatan saintifik dengan model inkuiri terbimbing pada tema cahaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-experiment dengan desain the one group pretest-posttest design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII di salah satu SMP di kabupaten Bandung Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa N-Gain penguasaan konsep yang dicapai siswa FD sebesar 0,36 dan siswa FI sebesar 0,43. Peningkatan penguasaan konsep yang dicapai kedua kelompok siswa termasuk pada kategori sedang. N-gain sikap ilmiah yang dicapai siswa FD sebesar 0,23, termasuk pada kategori rendah. Sedangkan N-Gain sikap ilmiah yang dicapai siswa FI sebesar 0,32, termasuk pada kategori sedang. Berdasarkan uji-t pada taraf kepercayaan 95% (signifikansi 0,05), hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: tidak terdapat perbedaan peningkatan penguasaan konsep yang signifikan antara siswa FD dan siswa FI dalam implementasi pendekatan saintifik dengan model inkuiri terbimbing pada pembelajaran IPA; terdapat perbedaan peningkatan sikap ilmiah yang signifikan antara siswa FD dan siswa FI dalam implementasi pendekatan saintifik dengan model inkuiri terbimbing pada pembelajaran IPA. The purpose of this study is to investigate the difference of the improvement of the mastery of concepts and scientific attitudes among students coming from the cognitive style of Field Dependent (FD) and Field Independent (FI) in the implementation of the scientific approach through guided inquiry on the light theme. This study uses a pre-experiment method with the one group pretest-posttest design. Subject of this study are eighth grade students at one of junior high schools in West Bandung regency. The results showed that the N-Gain achieved mastery of concepts of FD students is 0.36 and FI students is 0.43. Moreover, the improvement achieved in the mastery of concept of both groups of students is included in the medium category. N-gain achieved of scientific attitude of FD students is 0.23, included in low category. While the N-Gain achieved of scientific attitude of FI students is 0.32, included in medium category. Based on t-test at 95% confidence level (0.05) the results showed that: there is no significant difference between the improvement in mastery of concepts of FD students and FI students in the implementation of scientific approach through guided inquiry on science learning; there is a significant difference between the improvement in scientific attitude of FD students and FI students in the implementation of scientific approach through guided inquiry on science learning.
