Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh beberapa permasalahan yang ditemukan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yaitu siswa tidak mengetahui ciri utama karangan narasi serta unsur-unsur yang terdapat dalam karangan narasi sehingga siswa tidak terampil membuat karangan narasi yang baik. Seperti ditunjukan oleh hasil belajar siswa pada pretest hanya 15,8% siswa yang dinyatakan tuntas dalam menulis karangan narasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses dan hasil belajar siswa dalam menulis karangan narasi melalui penerapan model Contextual Teaching Learning. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Penelitian ini dirancang dan dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Sebagai subjek penelitian yakni siswa kelas IV di salahsatu Sekolah Dasar yang berada di Kecamatan Sukasari Kota Bandung dengan jumlah siswa 18 orang yang terdiri dari 6 orang laki-laki dan 12 orang perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah dengan menggunakan lembar observasi, catatan lapangan, dan lembar kerja siswa. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh data sebagai berikut. Aktivitas belajar siswa melalui penerapan model Contextual Teaching Learning meningkat, ditunjukan dengan siswa yang terlibat aktif dalam melaksanakan diskusi, melakukan tanya jawab, membuat karangan narasi dan memberikan penilaian pada hasil karangan yang dibuat temannya. Serta berdasarkan persentase lembar observasi yang menunjukan peningkatan dengan rincian siklus I sebesar 60%, siklus II 80%, dan siklus III 100%. Dengan meningkatnya proses pembelajaran, hasil belajar pada keterampilan menulis karangan narasi juga meningkat yang ditunjukan dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar pada setiap siklusnya. Siklus I mencapai ketuntasan sebesar 21,1% , siklus II 61,1%, dan siklus III 88,8%. Dengan demikian penerapan model Contextual Teaching Learning dalam penelitian ini dinyatakan berhasil dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa SD kelas tinggi. This research is motivated by some of the problems found in the Indonesian learning that students do not know the main characteristic bouquet of narrative as well as the elements contained in the narrative essay so that students are not skilled at making good narrative essay. As shown by the results of students in pretest only 15.8% of students who otherwise completed in the narrative essay writing. This study aims to determine the processes and student learning outcomes in essay writing narrative through the application of models Contextual Teaching Learning. The method used is the method of classroom action research. The study was designed and conducted in three cycles. As a research subject that is one of the main fourth grade students in elementary schools located in the Sukasari district of Bandung city the number of students 18 people consisting of 6 men and 12 women. Techniques of data collection is done by using observation sheets, field notes, and student worksheet. The results were obtained the following data. Learning activities of students through the application of models Contextual Teaching Learning increases, shown by the students who are actively involved in carrying out the discussions, conduct debriefing, create a narrative essay and pass judgment on the outcome of his essay made. And based on the observation sheet that shows the percentage increase in the details of the first cycle of 60%, 80% second cycle and third cycle of 100%. With the increase in the learning process, learning outcomes in narrative essay writing skills also improved shown by the percentage of mastery learning in each cycle. I cycle achieve mastery by 21.1%, 61.1% second cycle and third cycle 88.8%. Thus Contextual Teaching Learning model application in this study declared successful in improving the skills of essay writing narrative of high grade primary school students.
