Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh latihan psikologis imajeri dan rileksasi terhadap kecemasan (kognitif, somatis), kepercayaan diri dan performa atlet panjat tebing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimental design yaitu counterbalanced design. Populasi dan sampel penelitian ini adalah seluruh atlet Eiger Climbing Center (ECC) yang berjumlah 16 orang. Kecemasan dan percaya diri atlet diukur dengan menggunakan angket CSAI-2 dari Martens, Vealeys & Burton (1990) yang telah diuji dan memiliki validitas dan reliabilitas, sedangkan performa atlet dilihat dari hasil pemanjatan speed klasik. Seluruh data diolah dengan menggunakan SPSS 18 for windows menggunakan teknik Multivariat analisis of covariance (MANCOVA). Hasil pengolahan data menunjukkan bahwa 1) Latihan psikologis imajeri lebih efektif daripada latihan psikologis rileksasi dalam mengatasi kecemasan kognitif atlet panjat tebing. 2) Latihan psikologis imajeri lebih efektif daripada latihan psikologis rileksasi dalam mengatasi kecemasan somatis atlet panjat tebing. 3) Latihan psikologis imajeri lebih efektif daripada latihan psikologis rileksasi dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri atlet panjat tebing. 4) Latihan psikologis imajeri lebih efektif daripada latihan psikologis rileksasi dalam meningkatkan performa atlet panjat tebing. 5) Latihan psikologis imajeri lebih efektif daripada latihan psikologis rileksasi dalam mengendalikan kecemasan kognitif, kecemasan somatis, kepercayaan diri dan performa antara atlet panjat tebing. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan tersebut dapat peneliti simpulkan bahwa metode psikologis imajeri lebih efektif untuk mengendalikan kecemasan kognitif, somatis, meningkatkan percaya diri dan performa atlet panjat tebing dalam kategori speed klasik. The purpose of the research is to observe the effect of psychological training methods imagery and relaxation for (cognitive, somatic anxiety), self-confidence and performance of athletes wall climbing. The writer used quasi eksperimental design is counterbalanced design. The populasi and samples of the reserach are 16 atlhletes Eiger Climbing Center (ECC). Anxiety and self confidence is measured by using CSAI-2 scale by Martens, Vealeys dan Burton (1990) that has been tasted and has its validity and realiability, the performance of athletes seen from the classic speed climbing. All data is processed by using SPSS 18 for windows using a technique Multivariat analisis of covariance (MANCOVA). The finding showed 1) psychological imagery exercises more effective than relaxation exercise to control cognitive anxiety athlete wall climbing, 2) psychological imagery exercises more effective than relaxation exercise to control somatic anxiety athlete wall climbing, 3) psychological imagery exercises more effective than relaxation exercise to increase self confidence of athletes climbing. 4) psychological imagery exercises more effective than relaxation on the performance of athletes climbing, 5) psychological imagery exercises more effective than relaxation exercise to control cognitive anxiety, somatic anxiety, to increase self confidence and performance athlete wall climbing. Based on these results it can be concluded that the method of psychological imagery is more effective in controlling cognitive anxiety, somatic anxiety control, increase confidence and improve the performance of athletes classic rock climbing speed category.
