Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi masih rendahnya keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran IPA di sekolah dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa sebagai dampak dari implementasi model Project Based Learning (PjBL). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Non equivalent (Pre-Test and Post-Test) Control Groups Design. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V pada sebuah SD Negeri di Kota Bandung, sebanyak 56 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan angket sikap peduli lingkungan. Analisis data menggunakan uji Independent Sample t-test. Temuan dalam penelitian ini setiap indikator keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan sikap peduli lingkungan untuk kelompok eksperimen mendapatkan rerata N-gain lebih besar dari kelompok kontrol. Rerata N-gain untuk setiap indikator dalam kelompok eksperimen masih dalam kategori sedang dan rendah, sedangkan kelompok kontrol tergolong kategori rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) terdapat perbedaan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kreatif antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model PjBL dan non PjBL, rerata N-gain untuk PjBL 0,38 atau 38% dan non PjBL 0,22 atau 22%. (2) terdapat perbedaan peningkatan sikap peduli lingkungan antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model PjBL dan non PjBL, rerata N-gain untuk PjBL 0,42 atau 42% dan non PjBL 0,22 atau 22%. (3) Setiap tahapan dalam pembelajaran PjBL dapat memfasilitasi keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa kelas V di SD tempat penelitian. This study is backgrounded by student’s creative thinking skill and environment cared attitude which are still low in process of Natural Science learning in elementary school. The aim of the present study was to find out enhancement difference of student’s creative thinking skill and environment cared attitude as effect of Project Based Learning (PjBL) model implementation. This study used quasi-experiment method with Non equivalent design (Pre-Test and Post-Test) Control Groups Design. Subject of study are students of class V in Public Elementary School in Bandung City, with total of 56 students. Instruments used are creative thinking skill and questionnaire of environment cared attitude. Data analysis was done by using Independent Sample t-test. Finding of study are that in each indicator of creative thinking skill and environment cared attitude for experiment group obtain N-gain average which is bigger than control group. N-gain average for each indicator in experiment group still in medium and low category, whereas control group is categorized in low category. The result of study show that (1) there is enhancement difference of creative thinking skill between students who learn by PjBL model and non PjBL, N-gain average for PjBL is 0,38 or 38% and non PjBL is 0,22 or 22%. (2) There is enhancement difference of environment cared attitude between students who learn by PjBL model and non PjBL, N-gain average for PjBL is 0,42 or 42% and non PjBL is 0,22 or 22%. (3) Each stage in PjBL learning can facilitate creative thinking skill and environment cared attitude of class V students in Elementary School which become the place of study.
