Abstract
Problema mahasiswa yang meliputi kesulitan dalam mengatur waktu belajar, kurang motivasi, adanya kegiatan belajar yang salah, minat yang kurang terhadap bidang yang ditekuni, penyesuaian diri, permasalahan keluarga, dan frustasi serta konflik pribadi dapat menyebabkan perilaku bunuh diri. Keutamaan transendensi adalah menghubungkan kehidupan manusia dengan alam semesta serta menyajikan arti kehidupan. Karakter transenden mengacu kepada penekanan spiritual dan menghubungkan kehidupan mahasiswa dengan alam semesta sehingga memahami arti kehidupan, sikap dan perilaku berdasarkan nilai-nilai spiritualitas. Konseling spiritual teistik berlandaskan kepada keyakinan metafisik para penganut agama, yang menyangkut pandangan tentang Tuhan, hakikat manusia, tujuan hidup, spiritualitas, moralitas dan hidup setelah mati. Penelitian bertujuan mengidentifikasi efektivitas konseling spiritual teistik untuk mengembangkan karakter transenden mahasiswa yang dilakukan terhadap tiga mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar Universitas Pakuan. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen kuasi dengan desain single subject model A/B. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket karakter transenden. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Tingkat Pertama Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Pakuan Tahun Akademik 2014-2015. Analisis data menggunakan grafik dan the two standar deviation rule untuk mengetahui signifikansi kenaikan karakter transenden mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konseling spiritual teistik efektif mengembangkan character transendence pada tiga mahasiswa yang menjadi subjek penelitian. SU, RA, dan NA mengalami peningkatan skor keseluruhan aspek spiritual teistik, yaitu appreciation of beauty and excellence, gratitude, hope, playfulness, dan spirituality. Rekomendasi ditujukan kepada Konselor Perguruan Tinggi untuk mengimplementasikan konseling spiritual teistik untuk mengembangkan character transendence mahasiswa dan kepada peneliti selanjutnya untuk menggunakan single subject dengan model multiple baseline. Student problems consist of difficulty in arranging a time to study, lack of motivation, the learning activities were wrong, lacking interest towards the occupied areas, self adjustment , family problems, and frustration and personal conflict that can ultimately lead to suicide. The virtue of the transcendence of human life is to connect with the universe and the meaning of life present. Transcendent character refers to the spiritual emphasis and connect life with the universe so that students understand the meaning of life, attitudes and behaviors based on the values of spirituality. Theistic spiritual counseling based on the metaphysical beliefs of the adherents of a religion, which concerns the notion of God, human nature, life purpose, spirituality, morality and life after death. The aim of the research was to examine the effectiveness of Spiritual Theistic Counseling to Develop the Transcendent Character among three students in Department of Education of Primary School Teacher Pakuan University. The study posses a single subject quasi experimental design with AB model. The instrument used was a questionnaire transcendent character. research subjects are students of 1st grade in Department of Education of Primary School Teacher Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Pakuan University Academic Year 2014/2015. The data was analyzed by using graphs and the two standard deviation rule to identifythe significance of transcendent character enhance. Findings provide support thats Spiritual theistic counseling was effective todevelop students transcendent character in three of students who was studied. SU, RA, and NA increased the overall score theistic spiritual aspects, namely appreciation of beauty and excellence, gratitude, hope, playfulness, and spirituality. Recommendation has been given for (1) counselor of university to implemented spiritual theistic counseling to develop transcendent character of students and the using of single subject with multiple baseline in future research.
