Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan beranjak dari adanya indikasi mutu Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kecamatan Jatiwangi belum maksimal. Untuk memaksimalkan mutu sekolah tersebut diperlukan adanya dukungan dari kinerja manajerial kepala sekolah dan kinerja komite sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar kontribusi kinerja manajerial kepala sekolah dan kinerja komite sekolah terhadap mutu sekolah dasar negeri di kecamatan jatiwangi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif dan pendekatan kuantitatif. Adapun populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu sejumlah 41 sekolah yang terdiri dari 41 kepala sekolah dan 471 guru. Sampel diambil dengan Probability Samples dengan teknik Proportionate Random Sampling dan diperoleh 41 kepala sekolah dan 161 guru. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner, data yang terkumpul selanjutnya diolah dengan teknik korelasi dan regresi linier juga berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gambaran variabel kinerja manajerial kepala sekolah, kinerja komite sekolah dan mutu sekolah dasar negeri di kecamatan jatiwangi berada pada kategori baik. Hasil uji korelasi variabel kinerja manajerial kepala sekolah terhadap mutu sekolah menunjukkan korelasi yang kuat, sedangkan variabel kinerja komite sekolah terhadap mutu sekolah menunjukkan korelasi yang sangat rendah. Namun secara simultan kedua variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini tetap menunjukkan korelasi yang kuat terhadap variabel mutu sekolah. Kinerja Manajerial Kepala Sekolah dan Kinerja Komite Sekolah berkontribusi cukup tinggi terhadap mutu sekolah dasar negeri di kecamatan jatiwangi. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Kinerja Manajerial Kepala Sekolah dan Kinerja Komite Sekolah memberikan kontribusi terhadap mutu sekolah dasar negeri di kecamatan jatiwangi. Adapun rekomendasi dari penelitian ini: 1) Kepala Sekolah harus lebih memahami dan melaksanakan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dalam pembelajaran dan manajemen sekolah. 2) Komite sekolah hendaknya meningkatkan perannya dalam menyerap aspirasi, ide, gagasan dari masyarakat untuk kemajuan sekolah. The background of this study is coming from not maximized indications of the quality of public primary schools at Kecamatan Jatiwangi. To maximize that, is necessary the principals performance managerial support and school committees performance. The purpose of this study is to determine how much contribution of the principals managerial performance and school committee's performance towards the Public Primary School Quality at Kecamatan Jatiwangi. This study was conducted using descriptive and quantitative approach. The population in this study are 41 schools, consisting of 41 principals and 471 teachers. Samples were taken with Probability Samples with Proportionate Random Sampling technique and obtained 41 principals and 161 teachers. Questionnaires technique was used to collecting data, and processed by correlation and linear regression techniques. The results showed that general depiction of the performance of managerial principals, school committee performance and quality of public primary schools at Kecamatan Jatiwangi are at good category. The correlation test Results of principals managerial performance variable against the Primary School quality variable showed a strong correlation, whereas the school committee performance variable againts the Primary School quality variable showed a very low correlation. Simultaneously, both of indpenedent variabels showed a strong correlation to the Primary School quality variable. Principals managerial performance and School Committees performance contribute to the Public Primary School Quality at Kecamatan Jatiwangi at high. Based on the findings of this study concluded that the Principals managerial performance and the school committeeperformance contribute to the Public Primary School Quality at Kecamatan Jatiwangi. The recommendation from this study are: 1) The Principal must understand better and implementing the use of information technology in teaching process and school management. 2) The school committee should increasing the role in absorbing aspirations, and ideas from the community for the better school.
