Abstract

Skripsi dengan judul “Profil Kemampuan Hipotesis Siswa Pada Sub Konsep Pemanasan Global Melalui Demonstrasi yang Berbasis Predict-Observe-Explain (POE)” ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang dilakukan di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 12 Bandung. Tujuannya adalah untuk menganalisis profil kemampuan hipotesis siswa SMP kelas VII pada sub konsep pemanasan global melalui demonstrasi berbasis POE. Sampel dipilih secara purposive. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kemampuan hipotesis siswa pada kelas VII SMPN 12 Bandung, dan sampel adalah seluruh kemampuan hipotesis siswa pada kelas VII E SMPN 12 Bandung berjumlah 32 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari dua instrumen yaitu soal pernyataan penuntun hipotesis siswa dan angket. Soal pernyataan hipotesis memiliki empat tahapan yaitu siswa harus dapat mencari inti bacaan atau inti masalah, siswa memilah inti bacaan atau inti masalah menjadi sebab akibat, siswa menulikan variabel bebas dan terikat dan siswa menuliskan variabel bebas dan variabel terikat yang dapat diuji coba. Profil kemampuan hipotesis siswa dilihat pada berapa banyak siswa menjawab soal penuntun hipotesis dengan memperoleh skor 4 berdasarkan kriteria penilaian pada rubrik penilaian penuntun hipotesis siswa dan kriteria kemampuan menurut Arikunto (2012). Profil kemampuan siswa menuliskan variabel bebas dan variabel terikat yang dapat diuji coba adalah 62% yang menunjukan profil kemampuan hipotesis siswa kelas VII SMP sudah baik. Kata Kunci : Kemampuan Hipotesis, Hipotesis, Demonstrasi, POE, metode Ilmiah, Thesis with the title " Profile of Student Ability of Making Hypothesis In Global Warming Sub Concept Through Demonstration Based on Predict-Observe-Explain (POE)" was a descriptive study that has been done at Junior High School 12 Bandung. The aim of this study is to analyze the profile of junior high school students class VII ability in making hypothesis in global warming sub concept globar warming through demonstration based on POE. Samples were selected purposively. The population of this study was all hypothetical ability of students in class VII SMP 12 Bandung, and the sample is hypothesis ability of students in class VII E SMPN 12 Bandung totaling 32 students. The instrument used in this study was consisted of two instruments, statement questions about the students hypothesis guiding and questionnaires. Hypothesis statement question has four stages they are students should be able to look for the core reading or core issue, students sort the core of reading or core problems into cause and effect, students creating deafening independent and dependent variables and the students write the independent variable and the dependent variable that can be tested. Profile of hypothetical ability of students seen at how many students answered questions guiding hypothesis by obtaining a score of 4 based on the assessment criteria in the assessment rubric hypothesis guiding students and capability criteria according Arikunto (2012). Profiles of the student's ability is to write independent variables and the dependent variable that can be tested is 62%, which shows profile of the hypothetical ability class VII SMP has been good.
