Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya proses dan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV pada salah satu Sekolah Dasar di Kota Bandung yang mencapai KKM hanya 39,39%. Dalam proses pembelajaran kegiatan diskusi kurang efektif, siswa tidak terbagi dalam kelompok heterogen dan pembagian kelompok yang terlalu banyak. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah Kooperatif tipe STAD. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan, aktivitas siswa, dan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model Kooperatif tipe STAD. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas model Kemmis dan Taggart. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Keterlaksanaan aktivitas siswa pada siklus I diperoleh 62,5% dan pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan menjadi 100%. Pada siklus I rata-rata kelas yang diperoleh adalah 66,19 dan pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan menjadi 80,00. Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I yang mencapai KKM berjumlah 15 orang (48,38%) dan pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan menjadi 26 orang (86,66%). Disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Kooperatif tipe STAD pada pembelajaran IPS kelas IV SD dapat meningkatkan proses dan hasil belajar siswa. The background of this research was based on the low of process and students’ study result grade IV in one Elementary School in Bandung City that only reached KKM as much as 39,39%. In the learning process, the discussion section was not effective, students did not divided into heterogenic groups, and the groups were too many. Cooperative learning typed STAD was used in this research. The aims of this research was to describe the planning, students activity, and students’ study result by using Cooperative learning typed STAD. The method that is used was Class Action Research from Kemmis & Mc. Taggart model. The result of this research showed that the activity and the study results of the students increased. After cycle I has done, the percentage of students activity was 62,5% and increased into100% in the cycle II. In the cycle I, the average of class score was 66,19 and in the cycle II increased into 80,00. The students’ study result in the cycle I that reached KKM was only 15 students (48,38%) and in the cycle II, it increased into 26 students (86,66%). The conclusion of this research was the using of Cooperative model typed STAD in the Social Subject learning for Elementary School students grade IV can increase the process and the study result of the students.
