Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan kombinasi strategi empty chair dan reframing dalam meningkatkan kohesivitas keluarga siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian single-subject dengan desain A-B. Subyek penelitian sebanyak enam siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Taman tahun akademik 2014/ 2015 yang termasuk dalam kategori kohesivitas keluarga sangat rendah (disconnected). Temuan ini menjelaskan bahwa kombinasi strategi empty chair dan reframing secara umum efektif dalam meningkatkan kohesivitas keluarga siswa dan berdasarkan aspek-aspek kohesivitas keluarga ditemukan bahwa kombinasi strategi empty chair dan reframing efektif meningkatkan kohesivitas keluarga empat subyek penelitian pada semua aspek, namun kurang efektif untuk meningkatkan aspek waktu dan keterbatasan pada dua subyek penelitian. Rekomendasi yang dapat diberikan kepada guru BK yaitu dapat menggunakan kombinasi strategi empty chair dan reframing dalam membantu siswa mengatasi permasalahannya yang terkait dengan kohesivitas keluarga, kepada Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Sidoarjo dapat melaksanakan pelatihan parenting kepada orangtua maupun guru untuk meningkatkan kualitas kehidupan berkeluarga, dan kepada peneliti selanjutnya dapat meneliti siswa yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat tinggi (overly conneceted) dengan menggunakan desain single subject A-B-A-B. The research aims to test the effectiveness of a combination of empty chair and reframing strategies in increasing family cohesion of students with very low family cohesion (disconnected). It adopted single-subject method with A-B design. As regards the population, this research involved the eighth graders of SMP Negeri 2 Taman, school year 2014/ 2015, with a sample of six students with very low category of family cohesion. The finding explains that the combination of empty chair and reframing strategies was in general effective in increasing family cohesion. In addition, in terms of family cohesion aspects, it was found that the combination of empty chair and reframing strategies effectively increased the cohesion of four families in all aspects, but it was not equally effective in increasing the aspects of time and limitation of two other research subjects. Recommendations can be given to counselors that can use combination of empty chair and reframing strategy in helping students overcome problems related to family cohesiveness , the Department of Education and Culture Sidoarjo district can implement parenting training to parents and teachers to improve the quality of family life , and to researchers can then examine the students are included in the category of very high ( overly conneceted ) using single subject ABAB design .
