Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui capaian literasi matematis siswa SMP di Kota Bandung berdasarkan kerangka kerja PISA dan mengetahui indeks kesukaran dari soal-soal literasi matematis yang diujikan serta memperoleh informasi tentang sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika. Selain itu penelitian ini juga menganalisis sejauh mana soal-soal yang dikembangkan sekolah sampel dapat digunakan untuk menguji literasi matematis siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif, penelitian dilakukan dengan mengujikan soal tes literasi matematis dan menyebarkan kuesioner sikap kepada siswa. Pengambilan subjek penelitian dilakukan dengan metode probability sampling proportioned stratified random sampling. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan persentase capaian literasi matematis siswa masih rendah. Berdasarkan domain proses matematis, aspek menafsirkan, menerapkan dan mengevaluasi hasil dari suatu proses matematis menjadi domain proses dengan persentase capaian terendah. Adapun berdasarkan domain konten materi, perubahan dan keterkaitan menjadi konten materi dengan persentase capaian terendah, sedangkan konteks pekerjaan menjadi konteks dengan persentase capaian terendah. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan persentase capaian siswa sangat rendah pada soal-soal level 5 dan level 6. Soal-soal pada level tersebut juga termasuk ke dalam soal dengan kategori sulit. Sebagian besar soal-soal yang dikembangkan sekolah tidak menunjang terlatihnya kemampuan-kemampuan penting literasi matematis. Secara umum, siswa menunjukan sikap dan persepsi yang positif terhadap pembelajaran matematika. The objectives of this study is to determine the mathematical literacy achievements of junior high school students in Bandung based on PISA framework and to determine index difficulty in mathematical literacy’s question which are tested as well as to obtain some information about student attitude towards mathematics learning. In addition, this study also analyze in which extend the task developed by the school can be used to test student’s mathematical literacy. This research used quantitative descriptive as the methodology, the research carried out by testing the mathematical literacy test question and distributing student questionnaire. Subject of the study is conducted by using probability sampling proportioned stratified random sampling. The result of the study revealed that the percentage of student’s achievement still in the low level. The analysis based on mathematical process, interpreting, applying and evaluating aspect still in the low level. In material content, change and relationship is still in the low level and the occupation context also in the low level. The result of the study also showed percentage of students achievement is still in the low level especially in level 5 and level 6 questions. Most of the question developed by the school did not support student’s mathematical literacy. In general, students show positive attitude and perception toward mathematics learning.
