Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan berdemokrasi yang tercermin dalam Pengetahuan, Keterampilan, dan Sikap mahasiswa setelah mengalami pembelajaran PPKn Profetik. PPKn Profetik dipahami sebagai proses pembelajaran yang mentransformasikan ide, pengetahuan, semangat, dan cita-cita individu dalam bentuk liberasi, humanisasi, dan transendensi berdasarkan nilai-nilai agama dan budaya bangsa. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil studi pustaka, wawancara, angket, observasi, Focus Group Discussion, dan dokumentasi yang dikumpulkan selama penelitian berlangsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran PPKn Profetik yang mengadopsi teknik belajar metakognisi dan Participatory Learning and Action dapat mendorong mahasiswa untuk mengalami pembelajaran kritis dalam memantau pengetahuan demokrasi dan direktif ketika mengkaji demokrasi langsung di masyarakat. Fakta penelitian mengindikasikan terjadinya peningkatan kecerdasan berdemokrasi mahasiswa yang nampak pada munculnya ketertarikan mahasiswa untuk: (1) menyelidiki penerapan demokrasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari; (2) munculnya motivasi mahasiswa untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mereka; (3) munculnya semangat mahasiswa untuk membuktikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman mereka tentang demokrasi; (4) munculnya upaya mahasiswa untuk menemukan hubungan-hubungan antara teori demokrasi dengan fakta di lapangan; (5) munculnya motivasi mahasiswa untuk menerapkan demokrasi berdasarkan tuntunan agama Islam; (6) munculnya keinginan mahasiswa untuk membudayakan sikap dan kesadaran kritis; (7) munculnya perilaku mandiri dalam menemukan pengetahuan, pemahaman, dan pengalaman berdemokrasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari; (8) hadirnya kesadaran mahasiswa bahwa selama ini pemahaman demokrasi yang berkembang ada yang tidak sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Dari semua hal yang dialami selama proses pembelajaran mendorong mahasiswa untuk berbaur dengan masyarakat dan mempraktekkan sikap hidup demokratis ditengah kehidupan sehari-hari. Kesimpulan penelitian menyatakan bahwa pembelajaran PPKn Profetik dapat meningkatkan kecerdasan berdemokrasi terutama pada aspek civic intelligence (kecerdasan warganegara), civic participation (partisipasi warganegara), dan civic responsibility (kepedulian warganegara). Kecerdasan tersebut di dorong oleh semangat profetik yang menghendaki mahasiswa melakukan pembebasan diri (liberasi), menghargai fitrah kemanusiaannya (humanisasi), serta mengamalkan perintah Tuhan (transendensi) sebagai bentuk keimanan yang transformasional. Kata Kunci : PPKn Profetik, Kecerdasan Berdemokrasi, Metakognisi, PLA This study aims to improve democratic quotient reflected in knowledge, skills, and attitudes of students after experiencing PPKn-Prophetic. PPKn-Prophetic understood as a learning process that transforms ideas, knowledge, passion, and ideas in the form of liberation, humanization, and transcendence based on religious values and culture of the nation. Data were obtained from the literature review, interviews, questionnaires, observation, Focus Group Discussions, and documentation collected during the study. Data reduction later on, in the description, in the interpretation and verification in order to obtain research findings. The study findings suggest that learning PPKn-Prophetic technique that combines metacognition and Participatory Learning and Action encourage students to experience learning critical and directive. These findings indicate that there has been an increase in the quotient of democracy. This can be seen with the emergence of: (1) the interest of students to investigate the democratic process that is applied in everyday life; (2) the motivation of students to improve their knowledge by searching the relevance among the concepts of democracy that they read in a book with the conditions in the field; (3) the passion of the students to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of democracy; (4) the efforts of students to find connections between the theory of democracy with the facts on the ground; (5) the motivation of students to apply democracy based on Islamic religious beliefs; (6) the student wishes to cultivate a critical attitude and awareness; (7) the emergence of independent behavior of students in discovering knowledge, understanding, and experience of democracy in everyday life; and (8) the presence of student awareness for developing this understanding of democracy that does not conform to the purpose of democracy because democracy education subject are too far away from the values that they experienced in everyday life. Of all things that experienced during the learning process encourages interested students to mingle with the community and implementing democratic life stance amid everyday life. End of the study concluded that learning PPKn-Prophetic can improve the quotient of democracy, especially in the aspect of civic intelligence, civic participation, and civic responsibility. The intelligence is driven by a prophetic spirit that requires students to do self-liberation, to appreciate the nature of humanity, and the commandment of God (transcendence) as a form of transformational faith.
