Abstract
Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara coping strategy dengan subjective well-being pekerja seks komersial di Kota Bandung. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 50 orang pekerja seks komersial yang berada pada Lokalisasi Saritem dan Dewi Sartika Kota Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuisioner. Kuisioner coping strategy disusun berdasarkan pada teori Lazarus & Folkman (1984), terdiri dari 30 item dengan nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0,781. Kuisioner subjective well-being yang digunakan adalah Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) untuk mengetahui aspek kognitif berupa kepuasan hidup secara global dan Scale of Positive and Negative Experience untuk mengetahui aspek afektif berupa mood dan juga emosi positif dan negatif dalam dirinya. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah menggunakan korelasi Spearman. Hasil penelitian coping strategy pekerja seks komersial di Kota Bandung sebanyak 80% menggunakan problem-focused coping sebagai cara mereka dalam menghadapi masalah, dan 66% memiliki subjective well-being yang rendah. Analisis hubungan antara coping strategy dengan subjective well- being pekerja seks komersila menunjukan korelasi pada tahap sangat rendah. Analisis hubungan dimensi coping strogy dengan subjective well-being dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode korelasional Spearman diperoleh hasil korelasi antara problem-focused coping dengan subjective well-being sebesar -0,081 dengan siginifikansi 0,620 dan pada emotion-focused coping dengan subjective well-being sebesar 0,593 dengan signifikansi 0,071. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, maka diperoleh hubungan yang cukup berarti pada emotion-focused coping dengan subjective well-being pada pekerja seks komersial di Kota Bandung. Kontribusi emotion-focused coping terhadap subjective well-being pada pekerja seks komersial di Kota Bandung sebesar 35,17%. This research aim to discover the relationship between coping strategy with subjective well-being at Bandung city prostitute. The sample composed with 50 prostitutes that lived at Saritem and Dewi Sartika prostitution area at Bandung city. Researcher used questionaire to collect the data. Coping strategy questionaire composed based on Lazarus & Folkman (1984) theory, composed with 30 items and the reliability 0,781. Subjective well-being questinaire researcher used Satisfaction with Life Scale that consist of the cognitive aspect which is life satisfaction overall and Scale of Positive and Negative Experience for affective aspect that consist mood and the positive and negative emotion. Data analysis with Spearman corelation. The result for coping strategy at Bandung city prostitute is 80% used problem-focused coping as their coping, and 66% has low subjective well-being. The relationship between coping strategy with subjective well-being based on Spearman method show the very low relation. For the relationship between problem-focused coping with subjective well-being the resul is -0,081 with sig 0,620 and for the relationship between emotion-focused coping with subjective well-being the result is 0,593 with sig 0,071. Based on the result, we could say that the relationship between emotion-focused coping with subjective well-being at Bandung city prostitute is well valuable. The emotion-focused coping contribution towards subjective well-being at Bandung city prostitute is 35,17%.
